THanks so much Phoenixmom! Wasn't worried till i got that last call and he sounded so stressed, scripted and even a bit scattered/ scared. Not in his character AT ALL. He said would get a letter in about 3 weeks, when do they get to actually make phone calls?
You are welcome yes some go in thinking they know what BC is about and when they get here it is not what they expected. So I'm sure when he got there they were geting yelled at, and that will happen alot. let me put some sites for you to read ok. so you can get the feel for t and what is needed to pass.
How long is the "I'm here!" call and when will s/he be able to call again?
See Phone Cards and Phone Calls.
When will "The Box" come?
It will usually arrive by FedEx within a few days, but it can take up to 2 weeks at times.
Some site that gives you a break down on what happens when they arrive and ships/division how each div. is made up.
here is some info on changes to Form letter that was put togeher by Hooyahsuzy great information.
CM Join DEP- Leavin for Bootcamp in April just click on site I posted above and it will take you there.
Ty so much. Lots of information to absorb! I wish I had found this site BEFORE my son left. My son just found out the DAY he left he had to pass that running test at the beginning of camp, not the end or get separated. There was some staffing changes at his recruit office, so im sure he kinda fell through the cracks on finding out this information! Im quite stressed for him now! And he isn't one to go looking up information so now paying for it with stress! LOL Frustrated too, like how did we NOT know about this! Ok, just some venting here. TY lol
That is perfectly fine, they are suppose to start making the Recruiters office start testing them beforehand. But I agree with you, I think he will be fine, but he needs not to stress to much because they will notice. a Div. can start with 88 to 100 Recruits and slowly but surely they will start weeding them out, and a Div. can end up with 35-55 out of the 88-100. they will be a little sleep deprived because they have long days. 5:30 am till 10 PM and they will be working hard. on the 5th day of being there he will do the first run here is info on what happens.
(See Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA) and Fitness Improvement Training ... and join fit program for more information.)
let me know if you need anything else. Keep your Head up Momma!
