I don't understand. I received my sons belongings, in just under a week, but still no address. Is the address on the package what we use? Confused...I wasn't expecting his things so soon. I think I'm going to be sick. He has nothing. I just hope he remembers my phone number because he put my husband's on the package (they are one number different).

BelovedbyHim I thank you for your words of wisdom to KindredSpirits. 5hat means so much. I appreciate you. We both know how far this journey goes as they are beginning, but always come and give advice and knowledge. Thank you.

HI Ma'am just wanted to check in on you. I want to make sure you are ok. You have to know you are not alone, and we are all here for you. If it makes any difference, when my Son left my Son had never been HBOart from me. He is the baby of the family. He has two older sisters,  can you imagine being the baby boy with older sisters, they thought they were mom, lol. My Son and I were so close. I knew this is what he wanted to do, I thought I was ready for this, but when reality hit, I really wasn't. My husband and daughters, including my supervisor didn't know what to do all I did was cry. It took me awhile to be able to deal with it, so I completely understand, how you are feeling. It even took me at least 2 weeks to join this site because I thought the ladies would think I'm crazy, really I was so scared. But when I did it was the best thing I had done. I tell you I asked the same question and turned it around like a dozen times, I kid you not. One thing I learned on this site is that you are never alone. No matter what goes thru your mind someone is always here. So I just thought I would share. Keeping you in my prayers, and also your Loved one. He will be fine momma, you have to believe that. Good night and rest your mind.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate you sharing your life experiences with me. I means so much. Thanks you.
I received my son's belongings last Saturday (really Fri but FedEx messed up and I had a fit so they delivered Sat) He sent it Monday so it was 4 days. I've yet to receive his packet, 2nd week tomorrow. Should I call the recruiter?

Erin--- NO do not call the recruiter.  First they should not give you this information since it violates PERSEC but also because the letter may have different information than is in their system.  There is a link in this thread that talks about the form letter and the changes that have been made.  Your SR may not have passed their first PRT and so they are set back to try again. Is there anyone else they may have sent the form letter to?  It also may still be stuck in the mail system.
I know it's hard but No news really is Good news.  Keep writing and make sure you number them so your SR knows what order to open them in.  Read all the information you can on this site and the various FB pages.  Know that this will not last forever and that one day these 2 weeks will seem to have flown by!  It is not unusual for the letter to take closer to 3 weeks unless they are set back due to the PRT in which case it can take nearly 4 weeks from ship day.  Weekend days do not count either!
Unless you get a phone call telling you they are being sent home they are just working hard and getting used to doing what they are told without question.  You are the one left to wonder and worry.  I know it is hard and you feel so unsettled but you are not alone!! We haven't lost a mom to BootCamp worry yet and we won't start with you!!! Learning patience and how to temper your concern for your child is our BootCamp Training!!!
Let us know if you have more questions.  That is what this site is for!!

Hi Erin Peters, Welcome to Navy Moms. I help out on Boot Camp Moms. I would like to welcome you. Anything the Recruiters office may not be correct, and then at that they probably won't know. They have changed the way things are done started Jan. 2018.   If you join boot camp for moms I will post alot of info. On the 5th day of be in BC they will do the run if passed then the form letter gets sent. So changes on sending the form letter is in place. As beloved by him mentioned no news is good news. Getting a call early on is either, he didn't pass or needs more info. I will see if my phone will allow me to post sites if not then tomorrow I can do it and explain more. Glad to have you along. Sent you a friend request and I can post sites to your page.

Erin please read this site and it will explain somethings.

Erin this also will give insight on form letter.

No its not you need the letter
I'm just as confused
I just want to track my daughter's progress

And yes again I have the ship number and div number how do I track her progress please

Hi love412 track her progress not sure what you mean? After the 5th day they will do the run, if she fails she will redo in 48hrs. If she failed again then you will receive call. You have to remember no news is good news. If all is ok then in the 3rd week you may receive a call. Now you received the box right? In 10 to 14 days you should receive the form letter, that's if she passed initial run. They don't send form letter until run is passed that was one of the changes that was made. If you need more info please reach out

Love412, Check out https://www.facebook.com/NavyRecruitTrainingCommand. The PAO posts random photos randomly. There is no guarantee that your recruit will be photoed, but it is fun to look at the photos and get an idea of what is happening at the RTC. Pics of PIR will be posted there as well. They do not have pages that follow a particular division. (The Army does that, but the Navy DOES NOT.)

The closest thing we have to be able to follow along is in http://www.navydep.com/forums/showthread.php?t=433, but things have changed a bit since 2009 when that was posted. There is more in Arrival and What Happens at the RTC on what to expect.

Write and ask her to date a letter with the calendar date and the DOT so you will have a general idea of what she is doing.

Check your Inbox.
