I got the box yesterday so letter should be soon right?

Good Morning kuuipo, YAY! for the box. The Form Letter will arrive in your regular mail a week or so after "The Box" arrives. The form letter seldom arrives less 10 business days after arrival now since it is not mailed until the day after the recruit passes the first PFA, which is on about the fifth business day after arrival. It can take two weeks or more to arrive. Your recruit will send The Form Letter once Phase I is over and s/he has passed the first PFA and has officially been assigned to a ship and division. (See When to Expect Your Form Letter and  Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA) and Fitness Improvement Training (FIT) for more information.

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. and welcome again.

The Form Letter now arrives around ten to fourteen business days after the recruit's arrival at the RTC, so you should be getting it next week. It will tell you your recruit's address and PIR date and other important information. Keep it in a safe place.

Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening and what to expect.

I got "the box" yesterday and was proud of myself because I hardly cried at all!  That's a big win for me!  I think he had his physical test (PFA) today and I've been praying all day that he passed.  I guess I won't know until a week from now when/if I receive the form letter.  I've never been so anxious to recieve a form letter!  Once I know if he passed his PFA I might actually get a decent night's sleep.  I miss him every minute but I'm so proud of him and all of the other young men and women who are in boot camp right now and all of the mom's and dad's who helped them get there.  Hopefully we'll all meet at PIR and celebrate our future sailors' successes!

As long as you don't receive a phone call from him this week, then all is good.

Dr VonI think our kids are in together mine arrived on the 8th

I got "The Box" last night
