Whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.  2 Corinthians 3:16–17

“Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.”  John 12:26

We have believed and have come to know that You are the Holy One of God  John 6:69 (NASB)

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.  Hebrews 13:16

Dear God, I’m so grateful for the gift of your Spirit and the freedom I have from the confines of sin and death. Remind me to live as a free child of God and to be a beacon for others showing them THE Way, THE Truth and THE Light, Jesus Christ.  through His Holy Name AMEN

Jesus said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.   Mark 2-27 (NASB)

. . . the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.
Romans 8:6

Holy Spirit, you are the only One whom I want controlling my mind. Remind me of your truth and dispel the fears and worries that try to dominate my thinking.  Thank you Father for teaching us to "rest" and being a good example.  Thank you for sending Your Son and Spirit to show us the way and to guide us.

For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:3

“I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.”
Isaiah 44:22

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:8

Jesus, Thank you for dying and forgiving my sins. Lord, allow my life to be an eyewitness account of your grace. Let all that I do reflect the love and forgiveness I’ve experienced firsthand.  Holy Spirit lead me.

asking for Prayers that God shows us the way, our next steps in this crazy life.   And that we are open and smart enuff to "Listen" for and to Him.  My husband still needs to decide on a job.... retirement?  God help us through this time of need. (as you always have.)

Comment by Blondie on July 3, 2018 at 11:42am

Sorry I have been gone so long, I really thought this time!  I'd stay in touch, but it was another working vacation so.... time always seems to get away from me.  But I'm back :)

[Jesus said,] “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth . . . But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven . . .”
Matthew 6:19–20

[Jesus said,] “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”
Luke 12:15

Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.
Genesis 2:3 (NASB)

Father thank you for showing us that we all need to rest.  I do not work to buy possessions, I do work to pay the bills.  But mostly I work to Serve others and in doing so Serve You.  Thank you for clearing the way and making it possible for us to take time off and help our Daughter and Granddaughter.  Thank you for giving us Rest and Peace of mind.  May we always rest in You.. through Christ Your Son, Amen

Life up (your) eyes unto the hills(Psalm 121:1) and go forward. There is no other way. (Streams in the desert) Do you fear to launch away? Faith lets go to swim! Never will He let you go; It's by trusting you will know. Fellowship with Him.
