For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Got A Sneak Peek of my SR- Still no Form Letter!
I know, I know, it hasn't been two weeks yet so it's perfectly normal to not have received it, EXCEPT, RTC posted a video on their facebook page that showed my son in his uniform, assisting the dental yeoman. You could hear him talking to other recruits and the RDC so I got to hear his voice even!
The yeoman said it was their 2nd day of training so that means they took their PFA Wednesday (I'm assuming it was filmed the day it was released) and I signed up for Informed Delivery and still nothing. I'm so anxious to get his address so I can send letters!
A major part of my stress was worrying about the PFA but evidently, he made it! I don't know how specific I can be because it did show his name on his uniform (I don't think this is sensitive info since they posted it) but I'm also super curious what his role is at BC. He wasn't identified as a yeoman but he was working with the yeoman, what does that mean?
I know it's rare to get such a window into BC and I'm SO grateful that I got to see him and he looks and sounds great. I was laughing because his voice was so low and modulated and I've been trying to get the kid to lower his voice for 18 years and it never helped, but a couple weeks in boot camp and he's quiet as a mouse! :D
(and please tell me if anything I'm saying is too identifying, I'm new to this and trying to be careful but I'm so darn excited!)

I got to see my SR in an RTV video too! (OmG look at me doin all the Naval jargon lol) I was a blubbering idiot but it was SO good to see her, No uniforms for me it looked like swim quals but none the less I was grateful for the sneak peek, so I keep compulsively checkin my mail for that form letter.
