My son left on July 31st and I haven't heard anything except that brief 3 second phone call that he was there safe. I spoke to his recruiter and he said that his status hasn't been updated that he is still in Ship4 division 746. That it's good that he isn't in the ship that is being separated but he doesn't know why he and another person is still in that division. I know they say no news is good news but they aren't MOMS!! I looked up divisions and the only thing close is Ship 4 division 741 which is RCU- recruit convalescent unit. Anyone know about this?  I'm trying not to worry but so many people I see are getting letters from their recruits.

My son left 7/31 from Des Moines...hehe is Ship 12 DIV 376...I recieved his form letter about PIR yesterday and have his address.
I would have his Recruiter check with his particular Cheif.

My daughter left 7/31, but no form letter yet.

Could be wisdom teeth. My son left 7/16 and had his wisdom teeth removed the next week. He most of his division had theirs removed and a couple were even sedated. I hope you hear shortly!

Thank you all for the comforting messages.  I would think it would be easier since I already had one go through but it's different this time..the way they do boot camp and he is my youngest and I'm now an empty nester. It's really hard. He already had his wisdom teeth out when he was 16 or 17. I did message his recruiter but he hasn't gotten back to me. I hope to hear soon. I hope you hear from yours again soon.

My daughter left on July 31st. I received the short phone call and the box but no form letter.  I was lucky enough to see her in a swim video that they posted on August 9th.  I was happy to see her face but she looks tired and no emotion which I am sure is the norm.

That's great you got to see her. I saw that same video but with all those shaved heads it was hard to tell. I do feel a little better that I'm not the only one not receiving a letter yet but I sure hope we all get some kind of communication soon. It is driving me CRAZY! My husband says I've been in a bad mood since he left. Lol

Me too! I was pleasantly surprised to see my little one in that video with a look of sheer determination, I thought for sure tired would be the look of the day lol. Form letter came Tuesday its an odd thing when time is simultaneously speeding by and creeping crazy sliw at the same time!9/28 wil be here before we know it

The Form Letter now arrives 9 to 14 business days after the recruit's arrival. You are still within that window.
