Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

My son left from PA. The call came just before midnight. Now we wait to hear from them. I guess that's the tough part. At least I know it'll be a couple of weeks.

Wow he had a long journey. My son arrived at 9:52pm. He flew in with 10 others from Atlanta. He actually called me while he was still at Ohare since I was in New Orleans and my hubby was in Atlanta and he was to make the last official call with him. He wanted to hear my voice. I was so happy. He said he got pizza at the airport while they were waiting for other guys.

Yes, IF your recruit's division filled on the day he arrived, then the first attempt at the run would have been today. Sometimes recruits have to wait a few days for the division to fill and so that moves the timeline back several days. See Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA) and Fitness Improvement Training (FIT).
