so NOT true. I need you! Your community needs you and maybe putting together a gift shoe box for Christmas for a service member might help you feel better. We are just not needed in the same capacity that's all...
Stick to your exercise routine and no hiding in closets! I'm a new empty nest mom but I MAKE MYSELF (and trust me I'd rather cry and stay in bed) GET UP, brush my teeth and go out and just keep it going. Home is too quiet. You've GOT THIS!
I did 20 minute on the treadmill. I’m hanging in there. Thank you for the reminders.
Hi Donna - I have a 23 year old and the twin 18. The girl is on a gap year from college and Son left Tuesday to GL.
It's an adjustment - no one to cook for, talk with. Very quiet but try and keep my mind busy. Photography sounds like a wonderful idea. I accept my feelings of grief, loss and the mourning process though he's only doing what he's always wanted to do. Spread your wings too but give yourself permission to rest and accept your feelings...Happy Thanksgiving...
I’m talking to my dogs so much. Lol
my DH and I are going to go on Canon photo shoots too.
did two miles walk/jog on treadmill and won't even tell you how long it took me. Then Yoga. She said watch your mind and I was like, my mind is screaming at me right now and I can't sit in this position for much longer trying to breathe!!!!
Move all Marbles (including the one in your head) on Friday, right? I'll check back on page to see if you got your phone cal and the extra Dad time. Much love and courage. One step at ta time...
Our son was to arrive in GL Tuesday but was held until Wednesday. Called at 7:20 Chicago time. He is probably going thru the routine with your daughter. We will relax once we know he has made it through the first 24-36 hours. Within that time from what we read, he should get a decent meal and some rest eventually.
Monday .95 miles
Tuesday cried
Wednesday. .83 miles
Thursday .74 miles
Friday 1.22 miles
Saturday 1.43 miles
Working toward my goal of 1.5 miles in 16.5 minutes by the end of Bootcamp.
How are you all doing in your Mom Bootcamp personal challenge?
Slow going about 2 miles a day including walking dogs; Thursday was off. Friday was an ugly cry. Where do we go next? I'm on the PIR for 1/18/19 and am wondering if we book flight. Anywhere to go to see if there are any photos???
ugh...
Worried my SR is in zero days still and he won’t make the PIR for 1/18. No way to know for sure since he arrived mid week. Might be held. Won’t book flight until we get the letter.
I haven’t seen any pix on FB RTC Group of the boot SR’s. Two miles a day is good Marianne. I have more baggage to lose before I can get that far a day Hang in there and keep going.
Less crying now so that is good. Exercise helps. 4 marbles in the jar.
I'm not sure what day they are in. So we wait for the letter; check. I'm told by someone else that we also celebrate PIR by hanging an anchor (?) on our hotel door. Never heard of that.
Today is my birthday. 55. Got an AARP card as well as a photo album of pics of my 3 babies; tears, tears, tears. No running today but I am going for a walk. Spoke with my family in Chicago and they said they are expecting a foot of snow in town so up by Waukegan they should also have a little bit more since they are lake side. They might be shoveling all day...
Proud of you for moving your marbles (!) and exercising daily. That's awesome. Why do I feel like someone passed away? UGH...love you and can't wait till we hug - happy tears then. Hang in their batgirl!
