By counting 9 Fridays, PIR will most likely be 01/18/2019 for those who shipped on 11/21/2018 IF the recruit passes the run portion on the baseline PFA on the first try. Wait on The Form Letter, which now takes 9 to 14 business days after the recruit's arrival at RTC to come, to know the PIR date for sure. Arrival and What Happens at RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening and what to expect.
Do NOT get the address from the recruiter unless it has been at least 15 business days since your recruit arrived and you do not have the form letter because things can happen and the address in the system for the recruiter could be wrong up to 11 or more business days after the recruit's arrival if the recruit is moved from the division that he was placed in upon arrival. Remember that Thanksgiving was a federal holiday and was a HOLD day. Your recruit is still in Phase 1 (P-days).
bratgirl, you have to be 1/18 PIR or I'm coming to your 1/25! I now totally don't know what's going on. My heart hurts; my head hurts; my husband has said zero. Nada. Nothing. My house is dead quiet; went to grocery store and keep putting his favorite things in my cart...ugh.
Let’s hope for 1/18. Any info is better than none so we will hold to the 1/18 date loosely.
Walmart was an emotional trip today. No Zebra cakes for the boy...
I’ll go to Hobby Lobby Saturday to start working on my PIR Anchor. Will post pix as I create my proud display for the hotel door.
Hang in there, Marianne. Once you get letters, maybe your DH will engage. Kinda like having him feel the baby kick for the first time.... just an idea until then for they guy....
Until then, us momma’s are here for you !
Thank you for taking time to journey and mend hearts along the way lemonelephant.
Hello All,
Just called Navy Lodge and they HIGHLY recommend that we make hotel reservations once we get our packet in the mail. Everyone ready for this week? Only 7 MORE MONDAYS!!
We made our reservations at a local hotel already to be safe since we need three rooms. It made me feel closer already :)
Does anyone know what "Fast Track" is?
What is the context? Some refer to those in a Push Division, one in which some or all of the recruits in the division only have 8 Fridays instead of the typical 9 Fridays, as being on a Fast Track. Others refer to those who have a contract for one of the ratings that have push button E-4 after completing "A" School as being on the Fast Track.
The other possibility is being advanced to E-2 by having the DEP Guide PQS signed off on by the recruiter, passing the baseline PFA with SAT-MED AND passing the PQS Test with 80% or above. See E-1, E-2, or E-3? How did that happen?
We got the box!!!! Fed ex so we had to go pick it up after 6:30 signature required.
So he got to GL @ 7-8pm Central time on 11/21 and got the box today 11/26 even with Thanksgiving and a snow storm.
