Yess I agree...waiting for that plain little envelope  with sometimes barely a few sentences  Is So worth it!!

What is the informed site ?

Informed delivery is a service offered by the USPS.  Sign up and create an account and the post office emails you pictures of the mail you will be receiving each day (as long as your area has the service).  It's a good way to make sure you are getting all your mail!

Oh yes I got that service ! Thanks so much !!!
I signed up for it today! Thanks for the idea!!

So the email I got this morning didn't show me a picture of the form letter as I was hoping, but it was really neat to see what was coming today.  This service is really cool and I look forward to it torturing me daily!

The form letter is arriving now anywhere from 9-14 business days from when they arrived.

Be sure to join the boot camp group - you'll find lots of good info there:

http://navyformoms.ning.com/group/bootcampmoms

And once you get the form letter and know her PIR date you can join that group too.  (You could possibly be looking at a 3/8 PIR date.)

I suggest downloading Sandboxx on the computer or cell to write letter. They are more expensive then the mail but they get to them in two days. So worth it i wish I knew about it last year when my other daughter went through basic.

When I got my daughters call on New Years Eve you should have seen me fly through the door my husband thought I was crazy. I grabbed his cell called my other daughter who is stationed in Norfolk Virginia and put them both of speaker so she could talk to her sister... Ya I cried like a baby:) I was heartbroken on August 6 2017 I missed my daughters I’m a sailor call I ran for the phone but missed it. Now my phone follows me everywhere I will not miss my other daughters I’m a sailor call! I’m getting  anxious to get the call.

How long did you get to talk? Looking forward to a real conversation!

Hello!! My husband also left on 1/8. I have only received the box of his clothes :( It is so hard not knowing how he is doing and not being able to send letters. I hope I get his address & here from him soon!! I just keep telling myself hes got it a lot worse than I do and as soon as he can he will write or call!

Got the form letter today. (Her arrival was 1/8) Division 134 with PIR date of 3/8/19! Was hoping for a little note inside but nothing like that. Sent out a few letters to her today.
