Welcome! We got the phone call close to midnight- it was fast- you will hear yelling- I’m sure he knows the address- it will be a few days then you will the box- a couple weeks later for letters- the struggle not hearing anything is real!!! I’m on week 4
Hi Arlyn, welcome. I'm phoenixmom and I help out on boot camp moms. He needed to take his cell phone, they have no phone banks for them to call unless he can ask to borrow ones phone.
My son sent his back in the box- he called us on a pay phone I guess for the longer call
Things have changed, they are allowed to take their phones so they can make the im here call. As they have no phones to make this call. Just have to make sure they keep phones charged. The phone will be sent in the box. So make sure you check socks, pants, shoes because they will disconnect the battery from phone and stuff in either or. If you do not receive a box then its likely the donated their clothes and shoes.
I'm sure he should know his address, if not he should know the numbers right. You will receive the box in a few days but can take up to two weeks. It will Need to be signed for. Then 9 to 14 business days the form letter should arrive. Now this depends if he passes the PFA that he will take on the 5th business day of arrival.
Yes Ma'am it is scripted, WHOOO HOOO YOU GOT THE CALL! HE MUST of borrowed a phone. My son also went without his phone and a kind Recruit let him borrow his phone as well. That's awesome!
You will be full of Emotions these few weeks but you are in the right place. Because all of us Navy Moms will truly understand. It will be 2 yrs for me in July, but honestly I remember as if it were yesterday. Always remember " No News is good News" and the key is to stay busy. Your SR. Will be fine tired exhausted yes, wondering what he got himself into of course. They will be cut off from the world for the next 8 weeks. To figure out his PIR count 9 Friday's including this one being one. It could be the week before or week after depending if he will come in filling a div. Or week after if he has to wait for more to enter to fill his div. Come join boot camp moms you will learn all about this beginning journey. And all your question and concerns will be addressed. Come meet all the ladies they are Great!
As far as calling cards itvwascsaid not to send one with them, because domebofvthe phones will not except. They can buy one at the NEX. So if you findvthatvthe calling card has been sent back that is why.
