Hi Fellow Navy Moms!
My sailor son is currently deployed and has been gone since May 1st but it feels like so much longer than that.
I hope everyone is doing okay. I am trying to read through all the comments and love that there is so much love for our sailors expressed here.
Praying for safety and success to all of our sailors.
BTW, I am in East Texas in a town called Henderson which is close to Tyler, Texas and about 100 miles East of Dallas.
Hello from Amarillo, Tx! My son left on July 18th. Just impatiently waiting for his box and form letter.
We live in Texarkana. My son is in Coronado. PIR was 2/1/19. I am super excited for him as he enters the next phase of training next week!
Hi, my son leaves next week. We are from the Houston/Cypress area. After boot camp graduation, my son will go to San Antonio for Corpsman school. That's about all l know for now.
Hi, my son left on the 28th, already feels like it's been weeks and not just days. We're from the Orange County area a little town called Bridge City.
Hi, neighbors,
I am from Wylie (Rockwall County) and my daughter is currently at boot camp (DEP 1/15/2019). She also lives in Plano, Texas, too, with her Dad.
She is going into the Hospital Corpsman -San Antonio for A school, from my understanding. This is all so new and confusing to say the least.
Welcome NavyMomGayle, I also am in the Houston area. Is your son in Meridian Mississippi or Gulf Port? My son is in Meridian.
I forgot to say that I live in the Houston area.
Hi Y'all! I am new to this group. My sailor just graduated from boot camp last Friday - January 11th. PIR was impressive and I loved it! My son is in Mississippi for "A" School now, studying for Logistics Specialist. I am a new Navy Mom and I am interested in learning all I can about Navy life. I would appreciate direction to learn about "A" school, and beyond. What to expect, plan visits, etc. Where can I read about it all?
Hi Dianne Another El Paso mom here My son graduated from OCS last year and now is on his first deployment on a sub. This is an amazing journey that you have begun with your God bless you both
