Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

No please don't worry about pushing! I just wanted to explain. It actually helps to talk about it.....and yes, it's a sad world we live in when we have to have active shooting drills in schools and workplaces. When I was little we just had earthquake drills!

OH NO!!! I'm so sorry I pushed. I didn't even connect the date and I feel awful that you experienced that. As a teacher, active shooters are always on my mind, thinking of exits and hiding places every time we move around the building. I think we need to address mental health in our country, so that children (they mostly are children) don't make horrible choices and die or sit in jail for the rest of their lives. :((

Molly's Proud Mom - unfortunately not a fun story - we were there on 10/1/17 which is when the Vegas shooting occurred at the Route 91 Festival :( Thankfully none of us were at the Festival itself. I was staying with my youngest son & a friend of his at Planet Hollywood. JayDee, Oleander and myself had dinner earlier that night....later when the shooting occurred pandemonium broke out in our hotel and we were running for (what we thought) our lives. It was very very scary. I've been back to Vegas since but haven't felt comfortable going into the Planet Hollywood - brings back too many bad memories. Every time there's another shooting in the news (which seems to be happening all to frequently) I get a little anxious :( I just can't imagine how people who were actually there feel. (Didn't mean to bring things down but wanted to explain.) But I do look forward to meeting up with Navy moms again and making good memories!

That's fine with me - We've gone back to Vegas a couple times now and I haven't wanted to go back to that hotel :(
