Is there anyone who has a new recruit that just left? Everything I see on here is from 2018. My son left the Dallas area on May 14th (last week). No problems. I already got "the box". Just in waiting mode now.

Hi Kim - there's lots of current stuff on here - your best bet is to join this group for boot camp moms.

Once you receive the official letter (usually 9-14 days after arrival) you'll have his PIR (graduation) date and you can join the group for that too.  There you'll meet other moms whose SR's will be graduating the same as yours.  There's lots of groups on here to join - look around and then feel free to jump right in!

Thank you!

Hi Kim, my son shipped out from Miami Florida on 5/14/19. I received the box las Friday. I am waiting for news. I am new to the group. I feel you. I am glued to my phone and desperate to get home to check my mail.

Yeah. I didn’t think I’d be “that crazy Mom” but apparently I am! My phone rang at 9:00 last night and I just about jumped half way across the room to get it! It was an unknown number which I would normally ignore but of course can’t now! Then it was just silent on the other end but I was afraid to hang up! Then I freaked out all night because I know it’s too early to hear anything unless it’s bad news! YEP! I’m officially THAT crazy Mom!

Be sure to sign up for USPS Informed Delivery - sign up and receive an email from the US Postal Service showing what mail you will be getting each day (if available in your area).
