Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

All Hands Magazine's full length documentary "Making a Sailor": This video follows four recruits through Boot Camp in the spring of 2018 who were assigned to DIV 229, an integrated division, which had PIR on 05/25/2018.
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video:"Importance of Navy OPSEC."
Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass isno longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Since you have a Sailor, you can change "At Boot Camp now" above to “Enlisted.”
If you get an error message, then look at the area/s in the error message and unclick all of the choices in the area/s and make choices closer to the question/s. Some choices may have changed since you joined.
You can make that change when you make at least change 3.

What is your Sailor's rating (job) or field going to be? There are groups for most of the ratings or fields and many of the "A" Schools locations.
Divisions363and 364 are brother divisions and train together and will haveBattle Stations-21 (BST)together, so lookfor others with loved ones in either division. Write to your recruit and askwhenBattle Stations-21 (BST)will be so you willknow when to expect the "I'm a Sailor!" call.

Get a head start during boot camp by joining groups for, and learning about, your Sailor's occupational specialty and "A" School; and later your Sailor's duty station and/or Navy ship and homeport. You can also join groups for your own state, region or home town and interests from getting ready for deployment to care package ideas!

Hi Sandra My son stayed in GL for A school I have a lot of info on Surface Engineers. if you have any questions let me know My Son is a EM. he has ranked up to a E-5 with two years. Surface Engineering for those that have Loved Ones in these fields DC EM EN GSE GSM HT MM MR

Divisions 363 and 364 are brother divisions and train together and will have Battle Stations-21 (BST) together, so look for others with loved ones in either division. Write to your recruit and ask when Battle Stations-21 (BST) will be so you will know when to expect the "I'm a Sailor!" call.

Make at least change 3 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link) and change the Privacy Settings for this page from "Anyone" to "Members."
There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.
