DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

I am a new recruit mom.  Truthfully I'm am super STOKED that my Mouse has chosen to become a sailor.  I have literally been going bonkers trying to self educate.  Acronym terms, the basics about camp, heck everything and anything.  I'm not overwhelmed. BUt I feel that I have wasted so much time and not lending a hand to our military as they are deployed.

I think I have been waiting for the day for my kids to go off to school so i can Send them care packages but I should have been sending them to those that don't have them and need them.  Should have could have right.  Either way I'm supper happy to write to a young man or your woman and send them my thank, appreciation and some home love.  My future Sailor may not understand at this moment why my closet if filled with little goodies, note cards and drawings but the day will come.

Hi HomeCook#1 this is so Totally Awesome of you to do, I myself a Mother of a Sailor tend to do the same thing. In Fact I have around 5 boxes ready to ship to my Son and his Unit on the Carrier. He is linked to the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT. I always ask him also if he knows anyone that might be alone and may need some things sent to them, Reason being we need a name or address. So Nice to know that you do this thank You!

I told my son the same thing for when he starts BC. I know if I wasn't alive or able to send well wishes to my son I would appreciate that someone would look in on my future Sailor.

I'm going to start sewing pillow cases for Heads at Ease and MAS. Hopefully I'll be able to participate each month as requests come in. I'm not super rich but I at least have the availability and ability to sew, write and get happy treats. :)

And thank you, too.

You are so TOTALLY AWESOME! and Best wishes to your SON!
