Hello from Houston, my son leaves for BC 11/25  and has no idea how cold it will be, it’s no comparison to our on and off winter days.

Hello Texas moms!

My kiddo, a former student of Texas A&M,  leaves Dec. 9 for the Great Lakes.  My dad was in the Navy during the Korean War, but all of this is 100 percent new to us, so I'm trying to play catchup on all the information.  We live in Houston, near the Med Center.

Yes! LOL..Texas boys are use to heat and the sun, not being knee deep in snow! San Diego sounds so nice! I bet he is very happy to get that assignment!

Thanks Greek Mom. He just got his orders and his headed to San Diego in December. Good thing because winter in Chicago is really cold for a South Texas boy.

Hello Rhonda....Congrats to your son! My son enlisted two years ago and is now stationed at Kings Bay Georgia. I am from San Antonio and graduated from Judson many moons ago! LOL! I got married and moved to New Braunfels, where I still reside.
