Kmr5+1 - Thank you!! I am glad that you had a phone call!! That is so wonderful. Just hearing their voice makes are momma hearts happy!

Kmr5+1 - Good morning, I was posting a comment on OBKY's page and saw your post and thought I would just say hello!! I hope things are going well and you have had some communication from your SR. Days are getting closer and before you know it, you will have that "I'm a sailor" call. Although, that is what we call it, so don't be surprised if that is not the first words out of his mouth. Enjoy your day!

Did you find it?  My son says mail is delivered every day (to them).  He  made me think that their mail only goes out on Sunday nights/ Monday morning.  So far, I am believing that is true.  I have received mail on Thursdays here. That has been the only day. Did you find the FB group?  One is sponsored by NavyDep and the other is sponsored by Bootcamp 101.  I'm gonnna hang around about 20 minutes to see you answer back.

This week should be live firearms and pictures. I don't think I said that. If you are facebook, there is a PIR group specifically for ours.  Let me know if you need or want help finding it.  I will be happy to help.  My son doesn't always give me the info, but I glean a lot from those pages.;)

I am so sorry!  I am just now seeing this!  I am not very good at navigating this site. Good morning!  Did your son leave from Louisville or Cincinnati?  Mine left from Louisville.  Small world!  From what I have gathered, there are about 4 groups that haven't had a phone call.  My son will be moving on to Pensacola for A School.  I wish your son well. I'll be sure and check back here.  I apologize. We will get through this together!!!!

Kmr5+1 - That is understandable. Thank you for your perspective, it helps me to understand why sometimes we have moms who don't always chime in as often. I knew you were having some issues with navigating the site and I wanted to make sure you were doing well. I didn't actually find out about N4M until the week before my son's PIR. In some ways, I think it was better for me that way, because I did not have anyone to compare to. I had what the recruiters told me, the RTC website (which was not updated at that time) and one friend at church whose son is Nat'l Guard and was currently deployed at that time. She understood what I was going through and seemed to always know the right things to say to me. Thanks for your reply on the main chat!! That is helpful.

Kmr5+1 - I have been thinking about you and I see that you posted on NavyMom1013's discussion. I am so glad that you received the form letter and also some personal mail. That is not always the case, so feel fortunate. I hope things are going well otherwise!

Hi I just saw your comment on the chat page - sorry I have not been able to be on my computer much today. Have you figured out how to post in the main comment section of the BC Mom group? Some of the moms were just posting today or so that there may be some delays, I think of some divisions moving over to RTC from ROM - restriction of movement. You will not receive a Form letter until all things are cleared, including physical. During these times it is hard to know.

I know mine didn't think there would be a lot of Concrete work either.  Depending on when he arrives at GP (Gulf Port) and what the class schedule looks like at that time Don't give up on seeing him.  If there is no PIR (Pass in Review-- BC Graduation) You should be able to go visit for a weekend but only your Bee can tell you for sure.  They will be able to get that information once they arrive at A school.  Normally they are allowed to come home between A school and First Duty Station. Mine didn't because it was so close to when he had been home for Christmas.  Don't despair of seeing him again!! COVID has for sure thrown plans into disarray but there is always hope!! After Boot Camp you will be able to call and skype often and that does make the separation easier to bear!!

Kmr5+1-- Yes my son does not mind being a BU most of the time!  He is stupid smart but honestly a bit lazy.  He hates not having something to do however and he has been going NUTS with COVID!  They were supposed to deploy in April but that got pushed back.  He should be finally leaving soon and He's excited for that!!  Depending on how his A school is handling COVID that will determine if you can go to Gulfport or not.  Mine was waiting to class up for 2 months but we had just gone to GL so a second trip was not in the budget, then he was in class (no time) then Christmas Stand Down so he came home.  He went back for the second 1/2 of stand down then finished his final week.  A School graduation is a short simple ceremony (not many parents attend) and he was gone for his first duty station the next morning!  He was stationed in Sicily Italy for his first tour. He is currently in CA at PH (Port Hueneme-- (Why-meah-me))
Bee's can be stationed at any base anywhere in the world. A LOT of the BU work is concrete work.  There is a great FB page that is super active if you want to join us there too but it's not super helpful for BC. Navy Seabee Moms

Kmr5+1 - I sent a message to belovedbyHim, and I think she said she sent you a friend request. I will try to help you out tomorrow if you are on the chat in the morning. I only have from about 0730 - 0830 CDT right now but I will do my best to check and see if you are online. Good night.

Kmr5+1 - Welcome to the BC Moms group!! I also am a mother of 5 children and do my best to navigate technology!!  We are happy to help you with any questions that you might have. The best thing is to post a comment on the main section of the BC Moms group - in the comment section (not the discussion section.) Introduce yourself and let us know where your child is in the Navy process. My son is a Nuke that has been in for just over 3 years now.
