Hello Dee's Mom,

Is there a specific question that you have about the Nuke program? If you are wanting to know what your sailor's A school schedule might look like, be sure to check my other discussion on here Nuke A school daily schedule - sailor's perspective - Navy For Moms...

Otherwise, be sure to come join us down in the comment wall area below and introduce yourself. Looking at your profile page, I assume your loved one has graduated from BC and is at GC now. Which Nuke rating does your loved one have. Also, you might want to go to your profile page and change your status from your loved one being in BC to being Enlisted now.

Thank you. He is E3 Fireman

This page gives you information on the various Nuclear Ratings. - *Navy Nuclear Field (NF) Program Description - Navy For Moms (ning.... - Machinist’s Mate (MM), Electrician’s Mate (EM), and Electronics Technician (ET)

I really should remember which ones are Fireman versus Seaman but I believe it is the ETs, but it might be all of them. Generally when we refer to Nuke rating we are referring to MM, EM or ET.

Chipmunk, ETNs are seamen, MMNs are Firemen

JayDee659 - Thanks!! I know we have discussed it before, but my Google searches were not getting me what I wanted, I was watching TV and my sailor was not available to ask either.

  Are EMNs also Firemen?
