Any Moms in the South Houston, Pasadena, Clear Lake, LaPorte, Galveston County and all surrounding areas!

I have talked with 4 other moms in these areas and we would like to start a group of us that get together once a month and do different things like go out to eat, scrape booking days, shopping days, ect... If you are interested in something like this then let us know. I am thinking our next evening out will be May 19th at 630. I am thinking either TGI Friday's or Cafe Express both at 45 and Bay Area Blvd. If you have a preference or have another suggestion let us know.

I just found you all - We're from Deer Park. My son played football and graduated DPHS in 2008; finished boot camp last week and PIR 01/08/10. He's just arrived in SC at A school for Nuke.
Hi there, my name is Pam and i am on the houston, pasadena line. My son was stationed in Dam Neck and would walk around to Oceana for various things, mainly for supplies that they didnt have there. Also it was great exercise since they didnt have any place to work out there. He was in school there for about 6 months, he is FC. I hope that your husband is doing well, i am recouperating ankle surgery from 3 months ago and still am not in a shoe yet, maybe this next week. I found one other person that i met in the jrotc unit from south houston high school, would like to meet new friends also. My son is now stationed on the Truman and loves it. My daughter is a ctm and was in school in pensicola 4 years ago, not much to do there either, and she wished like crazy there was a whataburger there. she really missed that.
Pam, Sorry - I've been so busy & haven't had a chance to log on. My mother lives with us, and has advanced emphysema, so is on the computer most of the time (as that's really all she has to do), so I just get on when I can. Hope all has been going o.k. with your ankle, and that you are now back in a shoe. Let me know how you're doing. I can definitely understand your daughter's missing the Whataburger. I would miss that too. I had an aunt/uncle that lived near Atlanta for a while, and we would have to hit the Whataburger every time they came to visit. They have recently retired to Sugarland, so they can enjoy a Whataburger whenever they want. Keep in touch -- I am so glad to find Moms from our area
Hi, I am in Deer Park and would love to see if we can get together. 45 and Bay Area sounds ok. I also have a friend that is an Army mom and a Navy mother in law. I will talk to her and see if tihs might work for her. Martha
Martha...that would be wonderful is you both could come! I am looking forward to meeting you both!
Does anyone have a preference? TGI Friday's or Cafe Express? Cafe Express is probably less crowded. I think the prices may be just slightly more at Cafe Express though.
Where we can talk and get to know one another
Hey there, My kids are from South Houston, HIgh School and reign Navy ROTC. All three of my children did rotc there, and luckily two of them went on to join the navy. My third works at Clear Lake Hospital, new building, third floor and is expecting our first grandchild in late Sept, and it is a boy. HIs room will probably be decorated Navy vs. Army. I would like to join you, and i dont live far from either place. Let me know and maybe i can make it. My name is Pam and would like to keep in touch with other navy moms in our area.
Ok...We are meeting Tuesday, May 19th, at 6:30pm at Cafe Express. It is in the same area as Borders on the corner of Bay Area Blvd. and 45. I will look up the address and let everyone know later. If you have any questions please give me a call...281-455-2091. I am looking forward to meeting all you Navy Moms!

Dawn
Dawn,

Count me in, I will be there. It is great that we have had so many replies. I hope you are doing okay. How is your son and daughter-in-law doing in Japan? How is that grandson of yours? Talk to you soon.
Cafe Express address is 19443 Gulf Frwy, Webster, Tx Hope to see you all there.
If you are planning on meeting us at Cafe Express on Tuesday please send me a message or post here so I can get a head count. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing you all.
