Molly had the GREAT idea to send some N4M love to some of our military that are "hurting".
I am going to say that July 12 is the "birthday" of this endeavor. July 13 it got named!!
"M.A.S. Special Hugs" - M.A.S. - for Molly's Adopt a Sailor!!!

From Molly: Hey Moms ---- we are having some wounded guys coming our way. Would you like to make a thread and those who would like to send a card or messages to our wounded ones.

If you know of someone in the military "hurting" and needing a "special hug" - PM me (Brenda Sue) the address and I'll post it in our "special place." I do ask that you keep us updated on the condition or change of address of anyone that has a lingering need.

OK - Mom's let's get this ball on the roll!!

I am going to keep these names in one place - so people don't have to read through hundreds of pages to find them. Go to MAS We Ship Love (Click Here) for the addresses. This is a private group - just ask to be a member and after you have been "checked out" - the powers that be accept you!

Please use the labels designed in the "Shipping Labels" discussion so they will be easily recognized!!

You can either print these on stickers or just tape them to the envelopes. If neither is possible, just write Molly's Adopt a Sailor on the envelope - so they know where they are coming from.

Good Luck Molly!!!
I had the honor to be in the missing man formation for a KIA ---and it looks just like that. People everywhere ---its was impossible to not cry the whole time. And then to get it together after we arrived, and keep it together. I do not recommend doing that UNLESS you are very prepared. ( I was not --- I am better at a flag line) I recommend EVERYONE standing a flag line w/ the PGR or even just off the side of the road.
Dont get me wrong a complete honor to do ----- just very very hard to do.
GOD BLESS Them all ~
Molly, No way I could get it together and keep it together. I was amazed how many people knew about the procession.
Thank you Brenda Sue for posting... tears are flowing...
oh brenda, i will be crying all nite now. i am just overwhelmed at the moment by the loss for that family. to be in the procession and see all those people.... just to much to feel at one time.
PLEASE NOTE: New address for Michael Sheppard listed above!!
Brenda, In my sailor stash I have a couple of handheld games, do you think Michael might like for me to send them to him. I'm trying to think what else I might have. If you can think of anything let me know.
I'm not sure - but his mom - Denise Sheppard is on here a lot. I could ask her.
I'll get back to you. I'm working today - so it may be later.
Yes Please find out Brenda ----its so hard to know who has use of hands /arms /legs.

I am hoping that if the 501c3.NPO comes together we could invest in some sweat pants/big shirts (easy to learn to put on) Maybe some hand held games, Dvds ---- this may be a good time for those in here start to make a list of IF we could send anything what would we send. A wish list for MAS
Michael Sheppard's Moms says: "That (hand held games) would be cool. He has a tretis. I think he could handle the game shop type. He still has the broke thumb and wrist.
I agree Molly... that is why I suggested dvd's for Chris... he can always watch a movie! Will be there tomorrow to check in on he and Ross! Update will follow!
