I talked to Aaron today - he said he is in clas 907 tac (?) 4..... he is anxious but ready for classes to start. He said they have a test on Thurs already!
Thanks Casey and thanks Charlotte, I've emailed your recommendations to Robert. I guess they'll be pretty busy from now on. I didn't realize there would be that many in Power School.
Charlotte - Eric is in section 5 also. If he didn't know Jason before - I am sure they will know each other soon! Power school classes are made up of a whole lot of A school classes. Eric did well in A school and I was really excited for him, and he brushed it off saying I should be excited if he is at the top of Power School. Of course - being the mom that I am - I didn't care about that at all! They have a lot ahead of them - I'm glad we all have each other for support!
Does anyone know, are the different ratings (MM, ET, EM) in separate classes or are classes mixed? Oh, I asked Robert, and tac means hyphen or dash, so 707tac02 just means 707-02. If I heard him right, Robert is in 0707-7. Is anyone else's son or daughter, husband, etc. in that section?
HI Charlotte, yes I wish they were still in same section also! Aaron did say one of his good friends is in his section so at least he knows someone - they have been through bc and A school together.
I talked to Eric yesterday - I have been looking for airfare for our trip to GC over Thanksgiving since Air Tran cancelled our flights - and he said that they will be off fro Christmas from the 19th to the 3rd of January. Flights are horribly expensive for that time frame right now, but I just thought that you might like to know the dates so you can make plans!

Have a great day everyone!
Thanks Gail for those dates! Ryan said they get two weeks off but I didn't know the dates.

Ryan's in 0907-10. Class leader! :)
Hi All,
Carol, thanks for telling me about this discussion group. My son Aaron, also an ET, has been on T-track since August 17th. He is ready to begin again as well I think. He got married Aug. 15th and moved off base with his new wife. Aaron PIR'd in GC on Feb. 13th -- not sure if any of you had Sailors in that group or not. Not sure what class section Aaron is in. We don't hear from him as much since he got married!! HA! Looking forward to sharing this experience with you.
hi, is power school "A" school? my son was pir from great lakes 09/25 and from what hes told me will be starting "A" school 10/14, i know hes in indoc right now, he is going for a MM. should i be in this group or not? thanks
Power school comes after "A" school plus there might be a wait between the two.
The Sailors do their Nuke training in 3 different 6 month sections: 6 months of A School, 6 months of PowerSchool then 6 months of Prototype. Sounds like your son is being A school if he just PIR'd.
Well, if the Sailor is an MM, his "A" school is only 3 months (14 weeks) :) EMs and ETs are 6 months each for A school
