Tanao,
I read this and had to send up a prayer for Roddy, and it was a good reminder to keep all of those recruit in mind...asking for courage, stamina and perseverance. My husband just spoke with another Navy Dad and he said that the division that my son was in was being made an example of excellence. So hard to hear! I checked the milage from ohare(30 miles) and milwaukee (50 miles). Doesn't seem to be that much difference.
As long as it's not freezing rain.... you should be ok driving.

Also, if there would be anyway you could spare an extra ticket, I would be soooo grateful.
omgsh now way!! Go Jon woo!!
Hey there Everyone! I got my first letter from Matthew today. He sounds like he is doing awesome. There are 88 guys in this division (Ship 13/Div 053). They have 3 Recruit Commanders. He seems to like two of the three (one female and 2 males). He said that the first two weeks there was not a whole lot of PT, I guess they were just settling in. He was also sick and was on bed rest for 3 days. He and his rack mate (guy from Southern California) are on laundry duty for all 88 of the guys. He said that sucks. Which I tend to believe him. LOL

He mentioned that they only have a couple of hours to write letter on Sunday night, after they have done everything else for the evening. And they mail them once a week. That tells me we should be getting a couple at a time. Matt said they are busy every minute of every day, that the days are packed. Makes the time fly by.

So moms, dads, girlfriends, wives, etc.... I think our recruits are doing okay based on Matt's point of view. Hang in there and keep sharing your recruit's experiences. In my last letter, I listed everyone I have been talking to on here and the names of the recruits so we can get the connections going. Can't wait to hear back from him after he gets that letter.

Take care! Leslie
Hello, have any one made their reservations yet? I almost done with mine, but have to confirm on Monday. I expending my thanksgiving break waiting for a call, I don't want to leave the house, and notice this making cry, just focus on the phone and the mail box.
