Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

SPendi - I know how you feel. I just got my first letter yesterday and I was just bouncing off the walls. I keep singing " I GOT A LETTER, I GOT A LETTER" I am glad that yours was a good one (six)!
awww yay you got letters!!! lucky you - 6 of them is a LOT.
Well, I got my first letter yesterday and I am now content. (sigh) Well, at least until I get the next one.
HOLY cow... 15?! sheesh! How does he find the time to write so much?? I've only gotten 2. And none this week.
That is awesome and sounds like she is adjusting great.. I actually wrote my son a letter from his dog.. ha ha Thats why I thought it was so funny your daughter wrote to her dog., haha Enjoy,.
I received a letter yesterday from my husband that said his division (52) ship 13 were all Grad and Go's ... Has anyone else heard anything?
My son is Garrett and he is in Div 803 Ship 4 and will graduate on Jan 15th.. To Bobs Wife I know how you feel. I have gotten 4 letters from my son and he has been gone 3 weeks and the last letters he said he hasnt gotten any letters from anyone. That bummed me out... Do you know how many weeks your husband went without getting letters?

I am so happy for my son and I just cant wait to see him...

The discussion here is kinda dead...How is everyone? Any updates? Phone calls, letters? News we need to know? No phone call for me yet, and haven't received any recent letters, but J's mom did and I hear he is well. Training hard!

Did anyone get phone calls this weekend? My recruit has been gone swince the 12th of Nov. This past weekend should have been weeki 3. Getting anxious!

mythreesons - my son has been gone since the 15th and I have not received a call yet either. I am really hoping that one will come this week. I asume by your name that you have three sons - so do I. My oldest is the one in the navy.
