Yes I do have three sons - my middle son is the recruit - my name is Ruth, from South Texas on the coast between Houston and Corpus Christi. I was reconsidering the first call since the family guide mentioned the first few days were P days. I have reeceived only 2 letters from my Joey but I imagine he is very busy with studies. I do have our flight scheduled for PIR as well as a car and suite. Just waiting on my "sailor"! Joey is Ship 13, Div 55
My son is Mike. We too have our reservations made. We are driving from Toledo, Ohio and staying at the Ramada Inn. I can't wait until PIR. I have only received one letter so far.
sounds like yours is a little like mine - not much of a talker. Maybe once phone calls are allowed he will have something to say. Joey has always been the one to just want to be around someone. Not much for conversation! Are we going to have a meet & greet the Thursday evening before graduation?
I GOT A PHONE CALL! I GOT A PHONE CALL! I GOT A PHONE CALL!! :) :)
I leave my phone on vibrate at work, and boom (the magic #'s) (847) Bam! I'm out the door of my office, it is storming wind and rain, no coat, running for cover... huddled between the coke machine and the trash can, because I can't hear over the rain and wind hitting the tin roof. AHHHH!! Hi Bud!

Ok I know dramatic and wet soaked to the bone, for another 8 hrs at work, but I don't care...( can you tell, I'm singing this to you all)
He's doing really good, wisdom teeth last week, cavities yesterday but he is doing so much better.

His division has done really well, so they got calls today and store run, I guess they call it? Hell week is next week, and they are ready!!

I finally made reservations for air etc, and he tells me that he will probably be a grad and go.... probably will ship out Sat!

Oh well don't care, My BOY called and I am a happy Navy Mom!!
I got that wonderful call also. It sure was good to hear his voice. Hears hoping the rest of his div. receive theirs in a few mins.
ohhhhhhhhhhhh Im waiting still..........
I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you greenlo.
Did you get your call? my son told me that your son Eric is his bunkmate but didn't know where he was. I hope you get a cakk soon greenlo! It does the morale so much good to hear their voice.
I got my call vickie! Joey said he knows your Will and that he sleeps in the bunk next to him! Was really good to hear his voice. Lifted me so much to hear him and to talk with him.
Dawn~Cindy~Greenlo..(Thats all the names I can see so far)

Tanao:
I got a call from my daughter on Monday too. I am just like you, leave my phone on vibrate and as soon as I see 847 I dart to the closest empty office so I can talk to her. I almost ran someone over trying to get down the hall I was so excited! My daughter is grad and go also, but she is staying in Great Lakes. She didn't know if we would get much time with her either but like you, I don't care. Just to see her graduate is going to be great! Yeah, she also told me that their division is doing really well! They all work together and have a great unit!
Has anyone received a call from Ship 06 Div 908?
