Happy Monday Everyone:

Yeah, we have a PIR dates!! I have already made reservations @ Navy Lodge for 1/13-1/17. I'm a little concerned about wheather that time of the year, so I'm coming in early.

Blessings to all the families and their kids in,
Tanao
See you there! Laurie :)
Hi Tanao

I'm staying at the same hotel I was told it may snow it is snowing now but all we can do is make the best of it for our boys.
Has anyone else made their reservations yet? I can't wait! Do you think they will be able to call on Thanksgiving? Someone told my son that they were only allowed to call a land line and not a cell number. Does anyone if that is true? I just hate to miss that phone call!
I think that if they call collect from a payphone, that it has to be a landline, cause cell phones don't allow collect calls. If they have a calling card, then it doesn't matter what phone they call to.
I got call forwarding on my landline right before my husband left. If I leave the house I forward the landline to my cell phone so I won't miss his calls. I was hoping for a call today for Thanksgiving too. My phone rang this morning and I raced to get it - saw on the caller Id it was my mother- my heart sank. (Sorry, Mom- I miss you too!) I have heard from several people including my husband's recruiter that calls are usually allowed only on Sundays. I have my fingers and toes crossed for this Sunday.
I too am not having an easy time with him being away. I am hardly eating anything-lost 5 lbs since he left on 1/17. I don't sleep much either, I wait until I'm dead tired to go to bed in hopes I'll sleep all night. I end up waking up around 5-5:30 am and can't go back to sleep. I'm OK if I'm at work or with people and can eat a little bit then. It's when I'm alone that it's so hard.

Oh.. my husband is Ship 13, div 061 PIR 1/15. I made the plane reservation but not the hotel yet
