Yeah it is nuts for sure! But I am glad my program is intense and keeps me busy or I would just not know what to do with myself and probably just cry all the time hahaha! I hope you figure out the school situation I know that can be hardcore. Thanks so much! I'll be there in April for sure for the homecoming :-) Maybe I ill get to see you then. Let me know if you need anything at all, even if it is just to vent. We all need to do that sometimes.
Oh yeah I know the feeling, right there with yah! Thanks and I am also here when ever you need to talk :) because you are very right when you need to vent you need to! I sure hope april is the date still... omgosh I would go crazy if I have to wait any longer.
My husband told me today that the Captain made an announcement that their orders were to stay in Haiti for 30 days and that 30 days will be up on Feb. 14th. He also said that they should leave that day and they will be on time for the April 9-11 weekend. He said they are on schedule for that weekend still. GREAT NEWS!!!! I hope hope hope they don't go and change it. :-) Only 72 more days til the 9th! We can do it.
You have no idea but you just made my night!! This is amazingly great news to hear! I really hope that this information stays accurate! My husband said he is going to try and talk to me before I go to bed with in the next hour or two so I sure hope he mentions this... if not I will for sure be mentioning it to him! How exciting! Seriously thanks so much for letting me know! I am praying this time goes by fast!
I meant this news is AMAZING... I worded that wrong lol it sounded like I wasn't excited now that I am re-reading it... I am so happy! so to fix my error... THIS IS AMAZING AND GREAT NEWS TO HEAR! YAY!
I know your hubby had new news, but since they are still there lets hope they leave by this Friday!!! It sucks that things keep changing, but this is how or lives will be for the years to follow... we have to try to get used to it. But it will always be so hard. I'm praying for Friday!! :-)
Hey ladies... I'm not a wife yet but am engaged to a sailor on the Vinson... I miss him so much!! Haven't moved to Cali yet, but plan on it sometime in the spring after they get there... Will definitely be there when they pull in!!

I'm on the east coast as well, around Philadelphia!

This is great... I didn't even know this thread was here and I've been on this website for almost 3 weeks!!
Hey :)

Welcome future wife of a sailor on the Vinson haha. My husband is on the Vinson too and I am missing him so much I made this thread a few weeks ago to try and get to know more people! I am actually from Southern California so we moved me back to CA to be with family while my husband is out at sea so when you come down if you need help in the area let me know and I should be able to help you out :)

I can not wait until they pull in, it really feels like its going by SO SLOW but they will be here soon enough :)

Anyways if you need to talk or anything just let me know, I understand how it goes missing your man!
