Hello Josh's mom!
My mom did not recieve her "kid in a box" yet. Hopefully it will be there on Monday as well as the address. I have three letters already waiting to be mailed!! We are from Hazleton Pa so not to far from Allentown. My brother actually left for GL on the 27th so I don't know if josh and anthony will be together or not! I will def be at PIR so maybe we will get to meet each other!! My prayers are out to you and your family and for Josh and for eveyone who is going through this journey!!! From what I gather on here some recruits are wonderful and others are not so great! Keep your heads up in a few short weeks we will be going to see sailors!!!
We received our box this afternoon. Hopefully, we will get his address soon. I can't wait to be able to write to him.
we haven't gotten his box yet, but we live on a military base ourselves, and mail here isn't very quick!
Got the box Friday and form letter with address on Saturday...So excited for him. Ship 09 DIV 131. He wrote a very little note on the letter.."Having fun!" Music to my ears..His dad is retired Navy and I did almost 10 years. So am very happy!
Hi JT's mom. My daughter Tabatha is also on Ship 09 DIV 131. Her very little note said she was doing fine. She said I can expect her to have a "potty mouth" after boot camp . . . lol.
My son left from Salem, Oregon on the 26th as well. I got his address from his recruiter this morning. She's a real sweetie to text it to me.

Hi Monica, My son got to Chicago airport on Monday night (Jan. 25th) about 7:30. He called from the airport but I haven't heard from him since then, Am looking forward to hearing from him soon. He did call his wife Tuesday morning about 1:00am said he already got in trouble for what he was wearing. His jeans had too many holes in them. LOL He did not bring another pair of pants with him because he was going to throw those jeans away when they gave him navy clothes. My daughter-in-law hasn't said she received anything yet from him.
My bf left two days ago for Great Lakes. I cant wait for the address so I can start mailing him :)
I RECIEVED MY LETTER TODAY!!!!! I have my daughter's address and her graduation information. Graduation is March 19! I am so excited. Made my flight, hotel and rental car reservations already! Hopefully you guys will receive your boxes and letters this week.
Oh I forgot . . . she is on SHIP 09 DIV 131. This may be helpful . . .
Hi Monica!! I am so glad to hear you got your information! My mom still did not get anything yet and my brother left on 27th...hopefully tommorrow! It seems as though everyone who left last week PIR is March 19th which is earlier than I thought...so that shed some excitement!!! I hope your daughter is doing well. My prayers and thoughts go out to everyone!!
Thank you so much Melissa. I pray that your mom gets your brother's box and graduation letter in this week and yes, March 19 is so much earlier than I had expected. I was thinking graduation would be the last of March or even the first weekend in April. God bless you and your family. I am sure at the weeks pass, we'll connect and possibly see each other at PIR.
