Hi all!! I live in Cairo, Georgia - twelve miles north of the GA/FL line - just above Tallahassee. I was raised in the Atlanta area, and all of my family are in the Kennesaw/Woodstock/Rome area.
Hi, Beverly. I grew up in Sylvester, but we have lived in the Atlanta area for the last 31 years.
Hi, I am from Milledgeville. My son is in week 2 of BC. Is anyone from the Central Ga. area.
I'm in Rocky Face, Ga. Near Catoosa County. Add me to your buddy list. My son is up in Knoxville, TN for his final evaluation before he can get into the Navy. He passed two and now is waiting on one. Say a prayer for me and him to hoping he can get in.

My name is Lisa Brinson and my son's name is Jody Ice. Like I said, we are in Rocky Face, Ga.

Thanks so much.
Hi. My name is Vanessa. My daughter is currently on the USS Ronald Reagan in San Diego. I live in Midway. That's just right outside Hinesville if any of you have heard of Ft. Stewart. Also about 42 miles from Savannah.
Hey Vanessa! Welcome to the group. I bet you miss your daughter, San Diego is beautiful but on the other side of the world. Our son is in Hawaii...also the other side of the world!

I kinda sorta know where you live as my daughter lives in Statesboro and I've been to Savannah plenty!
Vanessa, when i looked up the ship that my grand-daughter is on they were telling about what all they had done during their deployment. They had gotten back to Norfolk in October. But one of the things that they had done was escort the USS Ronald Reagan ship through an area that they had problems with the (cannot remember the name) but where they are trying to hijack the ships. She is on a nuclear fighter ship. They went a tour up the Arabian sea throug the strait of _______ (can't remember the name) but then on up to the Meditarainian Sea. She boarded the ship after her A training which was the end of May. They flew her from on country to another to another till they got to somewhere in Africa and someone else picked her up and took her to board the ship in the sea. I just cannot imagine. She is about 22 or 23 years old. Have 17 grandchildren so it is hard for me to keep up. You can look up the james E Williams Ship and you can find out about some of their activities while deployed etc.
Hi! I'm Daryl from Duluth. Maybe those of us in the Duluth, Buford, Suwanee area could get together for lunch some time.
Ohhh Duluth is not far from us Daryl - come join us on the 6th of March! Irene lives in Buford and she will be joining us and we have others in your area as well - come meet everyone...we are WORTH the drive!! LOL
Hi Everyone,
I am new to this site but not new to the Navy. My son graduated boot camp June 2006 and went to NUKE School. He then graduated from NUKE school and is assigned to the USS Georgia at Kings Bay, GA. He has been there since February 08.
I live in Cartersville and work at Kennesaw State University. I would love to chat with others who have family in the Navy from GA. It was quite a coincidance that my son was assigned to the USS Georgia in Kings Bay Georgia and that he was raised in GA.
