Hello All:  Looking for anyone whose loved one is in Ship 6, Div 919.  Has anyone received a letter?  Know how the Division is doing?  My nephew is a SR with PIR date of 3/26.  Thanks,

Hi Vickie -- my sister received her first letter on Saturday 2/13 from my nephew. He sounded good too. She called me from GA and read it to me verbatim. We were so excited to finally hear from him. Wow....glad our group is doing what they're suppose to and avoiding the humiliation -- (smile).
received second letter today they are were going thru inspections Feb 22. they got second hair cuts Feb 19th. he says he cant wait to be out of this place
My son said they had to do some PT because a few were sliding on mattresses in the compartment, While my son was sleeping I guess they are learning about working as a team by doing this.
My son says he is near a corner, he has made some frend from Pensylvania Kasey & Carlson
Do you know that a 99 means he did better than 99 out of 100 on the testing
We live in Texas
literally sliding on mattresses??

So these SR's took their mattresses and slid down the hallway??? My hubby didn't mention that just that they got ITd for guys messing around after TAPS!??
Wow, that is frustrating... what were those guys thinking playing around like that? I'm just glad my brother enjoys all that PT & IT.
Yes it was frustrating to have to pay the price for someone else goofing off, but the consequences now are not as great as they could be once they are in the fleet. This is about team work and the team can look good together or look bad together. Im sure the unit will get things straitened out as a team. This is meant to be a learning experience for the unit, not just the two guys goofing off.
PIR Division 919 ship 6 schedule
I didn't receive a letter today, I am thinking about taking a chance, really wanting to show my son support.
Has any one heard about PIR what part of the day they are scheduled to have the capping.
I am looking at Amtrak and it arrives in Illinois close to NOON that may make the difference of leaving a day earlier for me. I may get the tickets subject to being able to return them also making reservations at the Lodge.

Thanks
Petty Officer Bryant
LicianRose PIR (Pass in Review) is the graduation ceremony have you heard what time of the day it is supposed to be?
My brother is also in DIV 919 with a PIR date of 3/26 . About the capping, I read that it takes place immeadiately after battle stations, so we don't get to see it... however, I got this info from the RTC website about the schedule of PIR:

Guests should be in seats.

9:20 a.m.
Divisions arrive at drill hall.

9:45 a.m.

10:30 a.m.

Please drop your recruit at the base early enough for them to walk back to their ship.

Some divisions may depart Recruit Training Command a few hours after graduation (Grad and Go). Some divisions may depart RTC the day after graduation. Please discuss liberty with your recruit during their phone calls home. Be sure to ask when they are departing boot camp for their next school. Continue to write your recruit and stay informed. Recruit Training Command Public Affairs does not have your recruit’s schedule. Only your recruit and his/her supervisor know their specific liberty schedule.
