OK ladies...  if we are going to have a newsletter, we need to brainstorm a bit!  As Molly is always reminding us, we all own this project!  So...

I think we would start with a bi monthly or quarterly newsletter...  we can have a sign up and I will send it out email.  Maybe we could also post on the website??

now for a name...

Molly's Mainstay
Molly's Muster
Molly's Missives
Molly's Minutes

With features of...
Molly's Microphone--maybe a column from one of the board members?
Molly's Milestones-- list of adoptions/ donations to date or special events
Molly's Moms of the month-- feature about a Molly mom or group of moms
Molly's Mumbles-- favorite quotes
Molly's Mailbag--  notes from our adoptee's

What else???  Have I gone overboard with the letter "M"???

Great idea...I think quarterly for sure...bi-monthly if we have enough information! I love all the features, except I would suggest caution on the Moms of the month. While I would definately post pictures and stories of groups that send stuff out, I suggest caution so you don't make those that can only send out a box or a letter feel that their contributions don't count, because we want and need everybody to know their contribution is important,..Molly's Moms Happenings (I know its not an M but can't think of one at the moment) that way its gets the point across but not making it seem one group is more important than another...does that make sense or amy I just rambling?
Looking for another "m"? How about 'Molly's Moms' Moments"? And, thank you for your comment about Moms of the month. I remember reading a comment somewhere from Sept. (I think) and the mom said they could only send letters, but she was going to get writing and have some others help her. I know I could identify with her, I think we all can. In this economy some months are just impossible to squeeze an extra $10 or $20 out of the budget, but 44 cents is almost always possible. Thank you for expressing it so well.
Also, we could include packing tips, reminders about tax receipts....I'd love to see a list of promotions or special awards, but I suppose that could make it too long, but it would also personalize it....what about sponsor ads to help raise money? What about military terminology or a specific rate so that people could learn what the different jobs are in the service...
HOLY SMOKES love your ideas -----I like the packing tips.

GOSH Valeriejean -----you said that PERFECT about everyone counting here. I love that we are all on the same page
Molly moms would certainly include packing parties or the individual mom with a story... I remember one mom that dressed up in red, white and blue to go to the post office!!!

I so believe that each letter counts... the package of treats is enjoyed but the letters are read and reread!

Keep those ideas coming!!
We had a great suggestion from US Carriers.
compass-
Because we bring love to all places!
As long as it's not "Navy Compass" then the name "Compass" would be okay == or even MAS Compass, or Molly's Compass.
Quarterly for sure..Or we can do the seasons
Winter
Spring
Summer
Fall!
Thats quarterly!
I do LOVE the idea about using "MOLLY"... but here is another idea.....What about using PLANKOWNERS....and using places or things or phrases regarding a ship....like

The Galley ....for recipies
Mail Call....letters
All Hands on Deck....for the group of the month....or for our MAS Special Hugs group...and so on

.....just an idea...
I like the idea of using ship lingo...ties in the navy very nicely...
I like that too!!
I do too ---very cute idea, and those are things everyone knows what they mean. I really like that idea a lot
