What a day.  We took our son to the recruiters office  at 0930 today (March 1).  From there he will go to Denver today to MEPS and leave for GL 3/2.  He will be going into the SWCC program.  Is there anyone else out there with me?    Today was an emotional one...I am so proud of him for the path he has chosen and I am so proud of myself for having raised such a wonderful young man.  The next 12 weeks will be lonely, although I am already excited to see the transformation he makes from a young man to a 'Sailor.'  My only unanswered concern at this time is....At PIR, it is my understanding that there are only 4 seats available for his family.  Can anyone elaborate on this for me.  Thank you and good luck to all of you out there.

No box for us either--I am wondering if Tony decided to donate what he had with him vs send it home.
I did get his address tho! PIR is April 23rd and he is ship 10 Div 168--now i am off to look for that group as well!
I have thought the same thing...he donated it or threw it away, but he had his cell phone, so I am thinking that the mail is just slow.
How are you doing? As I had mentioned somewhere, I have the cleaniest house ever. It was my way of dealing with things I guess. Sad but true.
I thought I had this site all figured out, but I guess half of the time when I send replies I am replying to myself....and I just wanted to let you all know that I also talk to myself.LOL
OK I JUST got the form letter and the package! So you should be getting it soon!

I have been trying to keep uber busy--we had a lot of yard clean up etc and that helped!

I have no idea how this site works LOL
Congrats on receiving your box.....did you cry? I almost did for you. (-: (-:
I had tears of joy because I had just sent his letters out today, got his form letter and box right after. I was all...GOOD DAY TO BE MOE!! LOL
He wrote that he did not have to do push ups the first 3 days, he is saying that because he is bummed he did not have to do any and he said the food ROCKS! LOL
How cool. It sounds like he is doing well. I am glad tohear about the food, as that is nothing that is discussed on this site (that I know of). It is almost lunch time again, so I will be going back to check my mail again. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
I hope your box and letter arrive TODAY!
Hi! My husband is also Ship 10 Div 168! How are you holing up? Yesterday was a very tough day for me but I am hanging in there. Have you reveived a call or a real letter yet? Seems like everyone elses letters started coming yesterday so I am hoping mine will be here today! Crazy our men are in the same group!
YEAH YEAH. I got his box and the form letter. I had to laugh, his clothing was not folded military style. In fact they were not folded at all. The address that his recruiter gave to me last week is different than what he gave me....Hopefully he will get the letters I sent (and the one his dog sent to him) and not have to do push ups....
LOL YES! I thought the same thing--he threw his clothing into the box--it was like a tiny sample of his bedroom floor!
That is funny. I think this is my best day since he has been gone. It is a good feeling to know he is happy. I could tell that from the short note on the form letter. I hope to sleep well (better) tonight.
As I am reading all of these comments, I am getting very worried because my boyfriend left for GL 3/1 and I have not recieved his box :( I know that it will be sent to me so I am very anxious and a nervous wreck lol anyone else still waiting for the box and form letter???
