Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I have two children. My daughter is almost 29 and was married last September. Andrew is 24. He went through 4 years of college and had the misfortune to get out just as the economy tanked. Even though things didn't work out as planned, I still the Navy is a great opportunity for him. My husband was in for 10 years (he was a "bubblehead"), my brother is a retired Navy chief, and I have several other relatives who were in the Navy at one time or another.
After boot camp Andrew is going to be stationed at the same base his dad was at when we first met. I told him there weren't going to be many others there who could say their parents met on that base and who's mother had her 18th b-day party in the barracks! Yes, we had some wild times in your younger days. : ) -

Hi all, Hopefully by now the division is doing better. I know my son really did not take the time to study the 11 Sentrys of command before he left. I suggested to him many times, I just hope hes not struggling with this. It makes me sad to think they are having some difficulty. Have to keep the faith and prayers. He knew what was ahead, and actually has a little experince, because he did a year of college at suny Maritime Bronx, NY. He has experince with marching and ironing, polishing and cleaning, but, memorizing may be a little tough for him. Hoping soon for the first letter and phone call for all of us.

Mom,
I miss you guys so much. Its getting a little easier. The first week was really hard because we had to wait for the rest of the division to show up, so we sat in our compartment and studied for a week. We were not that busy so I had alot of time to think about hom. ITS NOT AS BAD HERE AS I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE (yeah what i needed to hear) I have met lots of cool people here (THATS YOUR KIDS) But I would still rater be at home. I am in a intragrated division half boys half girls. I was section leader but they took that away and made me ship staff.
We have our first inspection Tuesday and first test on thursday. I am really nervous. Its alot of information to learn in a short time. I dont want to be set back but I am trying hard.
***then lots of miss you..how my bf, cat...
The first week here I questioned myself if i did the right thing and If this was what I really wanted. But as soon as I put on this uniform it was all smiles. Its pretty cool to get up every morning and put on a uniform.
THEN ALL THE LOVE YOU MISS YOU WHATS HAPPENING AT HOME..
But it what I longed to hear...I can take a breath now...I have been holding it for 22 days and I can breath now!!
I am so proud of her.... OK GO CHECK YOUR MAIL AND LET US KNOW!!! -

Hi my son ship 13 division 160. We are connected. Have not gotten a letter or phone call yet. Hope all is well. Alright sailors tighten up!! Praying all of sailors exceeds!!!!!

Im tring not to get my hopes up, but!
My nephew who just graduated got his first call right after there first big inspection. Because they did good!
Today is our kids first big inspection! So pray they kick butt on the inspection and get a call!!! -
