Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi Linda! My son is on ship 13 div 149, graduating 04/09 and going to CTT school in Pensacola. I have been talking to a recruiter in the Q/A group about CTT school and their jobs afterward. I think this is going to be a great job! I had no idea until I started talking to Old Crowe. We are driving up from Oak Ridge, TN and I am so excited to get to meet some moms at the meet and greet. I hope to see you there!

Our meet/greet will be held at the Ramada Inn .It will be from 6-8 pm, but you can stay as late as you want. There will be snacks, and a bar if anyone want to drink. The snacks are free but the bar is not. If you are staying at the Ramada Inn you will receive 2 drinks free. There will be name tags available. Please make sure you have the hotel put your first name, your N4M name and your division on the name tag when you get there. FREE SHUTTLE to PIR for guest Staying at the Ramada Inn. My son is also on ship 04 div 808- he is the youngest of 4 so needless to say when he left I definitely experienced the empty nest syndrome.We are flying in from Florida on the 8th-staying at the residence inn in Waukegan-counting the days down!!!
Arriving at night on the 8th from NJ - praying for good weather! The countdown is fun to watch. I am so happy and proud of my son and I'm sure you are, too. Looking forward to meeting you.

Frombrat2mom- Good morning,How old is your son? Ours turned 21 on the 26th of Feb.He really seems to be adjusting well-I was a little worried because he is the youngest,and yes we did spoil him-alot,but he has grown up to be a wonderful young man and we couldnt be prouder.What do you have planned for the weekend?Our son has only requested a LONG shower and a steak !!! We leave 2 weeks from tomorrow-cant wait.Donna
