Good Morning, Will you be moving to be with your husband after he gets his orders? That could be so exciting! I imagine it must be harder for you with your husband and the dad not at home. It wont be long until you will hear from him. Keep busy and remember it will be worth it!! What time do you think you will be getting to the Ramanda? We are flying into Milwaukee because it was about a $150 a ticket cheaper and then we will drive down. Watch the events tab to see if we will be having a Meet and Greet at the Ramanda on May 6. Talk soon - got to get ready for work. Keep you chin up and have a good day.
Thank you.
Yes, he is a Nuke so we'll be moving with him to Charleston since he'll be in school for 18 months, I'm really excited that we'll get to be with him after boot camp, even though I know he'll be extremely busy. Right now the flight I'm getting ready to book arrives in Chicago at 1515 so I'm guessing we'll be at the Ramada by 1700. Depends on how long it takes me to navigate through the airport with a 15 month old :).
For those that booked their flights, what site did you use? I'm looking at Priceline.com, because I can include the hotel for a much cheaper price than booking separately, but I don't see an option for refundable tickets...
Hi Dest, We went to the Delta site and actually purchased insurance on our flights. I reserved the room and car thur different sites also. I couldn't find a package deal with a ressonable price. You probably still have plenty of time to get things booked.
thank you, I actually booked the hotel and flight together through expedia, and was able to purchase insurance that way :)
We will be staying at the Ramada as well, looking forward to the Meet and Greet Thursday evening!
I have a daughter on Ship 12 Div 182.
Hi JetPatch, I have a daughter on this one also. Wonder how long it will be before we get some mail for them?
I wish I knew...I miss her so much.
I was hoping we'd get some letters in the mail today, but didn't get anything. Hopefully soon though
I was hoping too...I'm going out of town and it would of been nice to hear from her before I left. Now I have to wait until I get back home. :(
i think it will be next Wednesday when we get mail. Something I read said they are able to write their first letter on the 3rd Sunday and put it in the mail.
Hello Everyone. I'm still waiting on mail or a phone call from my son too. Nothing yet. Trying to be patient. We are coming in Thursday, so planning to be at the meet and greet. Can't wait to meet everyone!!
