We got our first phone call last night.  Teary but great to finally hear from her.  We thought that PT would be tough, that's okay what is tough is the clothes folding and keeping her rack tidy.  I knew I should have stopped putting her clothes away for her when she turned 18!!!  I hope all Mums (I'm British that's how we spell Mom in the UK) are holding up.  I'm sharing your stress.  Look for me among the many happy Mums in Great Lakes on April 16th:)

How much longer do we have to wait for a phone call. It has got to be Ship 13 DIV 160's turn sometime soon!!!
Maybe the ship sunk and Our girl is smimming to shore. She will probably call when she can providing it wasn't her fault. I am sure she and the others are going to be just fine and are in good hands. Could be that the ship is still stuck in the building and can not get out. Remember she is a great swimmer, but if she has to make her bed or iron to make a call we may be lucky to see her next year. Not to mention she does not know where they go besides the floor But we love her so, and hopes she calls soon
Hi All! I received a letter from my girle - she said she was one of the "Nasty Nine" which means they clean the Head and some have to get up an hour earlier than others to do it. I sure laughed at that ..... my daughter cleaning the bathroom LOL. It sounds like the girls are really sticking together. She said she had to cut it short because she was polishing six pairs of shoes in exchange for help in ironing and folding. It is a good feeling to know they have each other's back.
NavyMommaB - thanks for asking! She wrote quite a long letter over the course of the week. Apparently they now have some time on Tuesday and Thursday now as well as Sunday. She made no mention of her feet - so I assume she is on the mend. She was pretty funny and actually said she is liking BC - but that was before Hell Week, so it will be interesting to see what she says next!
Any phones calls or letters? I am anxious about how Ship 13 Div 160 did during Hell Week. I see some Moms posted that they got second phone calls and some of the divisions are earning extra calls. I know No News Is Good but I sure would like to hear something. Maybe I worry too much.
I am worried to about our DIV too because recruits get to call if they are doing well and it is used as a reward. Someone had said that they heard that our division on ship 13 DIV 160 was struggling, has anyone else heard the same? I hope that is not so because it may be why we haven't heard from our daughters/sons. It is hard not to hear their voices for so many weeks and I know you all feel the same. Pray for them all and please post if anyone gets a phone call.
NO, Yes I will!!! Have not heard from my son!!! I pray all is well.
Ladies, I am so blessed that you are here for me. I try not to worry but it's easier said than done. Daniel told me that they get rewarded with phone calls so since I've only had one and it seems as though all of you have had only one I'm concerned. Glad to hear they are doing well in marching/drill. Daniel did say they are a good division but I wonder what struggling means. I put Ship 13 Div 160 on the prayer list at church Sunday. I told our Pastor I wanted prayer for all not just my son. Thanks for being here and my prayers are for all.
Thanks Sue so much!!!! Received a letter today..... Short but sweet... Glad to hear they are ok!!!!!
NavyMommaB - yes, my daughter said she will be a flag holder if she can hold Stick One position. I asked her what she had to do to get a flag - she said it is because she is short LOL (5 '2" on a a puffy hair day). I am positive everyone is going to do great! Can't believe it is only a few short weeks to go!!!!
Glad to hear some good news about our ship 13 div 160. I didn't get a letter today but my niece did and Daniel sounded good in her letter. I was hoping that the next phone call might come on April 5th. That would be three weeks since the last call. But maybe after Battle Stations and wouldn't that be the call that says, I am a sailor. Maybe I'll get a letter tomorrow. I know they probably didn't have much time or were too tired to write after Hell Week. God Bless all and I will make sure that Ship 13 Div 160 stays on the prayer list. Looking forward to graduation and hopefully meeting some or all of you.
I received a very short letter yesterday - she survived Hell Week and passed all her tests! Hopefully it is smooth sailing (LOL) for everyone from here on in !!!!!
