i just got a call from my girl she said that things are moving a little slow for their div. but they are moving. She just got 6 of my letters and i write her everyday i guess no one has been taking care of the mail. She sounded upbeat but is a little sick. so everyone with loved ones in div 182 get rdy cause the calls are coming!!!
I got my call at 4pm. She said she will only get to call one more time before graduation - the week before. She sounded great and has gotten a lot of her mail and wants news from the outside world. Apparently they do not know any current news and would like to know what is going on. She said send more photos. I am having carpel tunnel surgery tomorrow and won't be on here much but I will try to read your posts. I feel so much better now - and I can lay the phone down for a while without fearing I will miss the call!!!
hope your surgery goes well!
Thanks so much. I am typing with my left hsnd. I got 3 letters today. Betsy wants pictures and world news and so i am asking everyone i know to send articles. It is great that everyone got mail. PIR is only 1 month away!!!!!!
we are still waiting on mail! Hopefully tomorrow!
I sent my husband a ton of pictures today. He said everyone was tired of seeing the only 2 pics that he had in his wallet, lol
Glad your surgery went well!
Our daughters must know each other. Betsy is their Educatio Petty Officer. She said they have 2 more big tests. If they pass those 2 tests- yhey will be graduating on may 7. have a great evening!!!
Lorraineld: I am so glad one of the girls are in charge of Education! Maybe they can make up some practice tests and drill each other so they can all definitely pass! Tell her to stay tough on them! We have to Grad. on May 7th! And you are doing pretty good with that left hand!
Oh ladies....I finally got my phone call today from my son!!! It was wonderful. He called about 4 and sounded awesome! He said the same thing about things going very slow for them and the mail being all messed up. He said is second in command in their unit...which is good, but that means that any time someone gets in trouble, he's got to take the punishment too. So that kind of sucks. He said he's still got his wisdom teeth, but was sick a couple of days with some kind of serious stomach bug though. He said they do alot of rushing around to then wait, but overall he said it was fine, but would just be easier if they had stuff to do in their down time and could talk to their families and stuff more often. Thanks for all your support and stuff. I am so grateful...and I too can lay my phone down now without worrying if I will miss a call or not!! He said I should be getting about 10 letters any day since they supposedly have the mail situation straightened out. He said they all got a bunch of mail one day and realized it was all the mail they had mailed to their family and friends coming back to them, but said it's should be all fixed now and we should start receiving their mail. He said he is getting all my letters with no problem and just wants them to keep coming!!!

Have a great day everyone!
Hi "182" moms! I too, got the long-awaited phone call around 4 pm....they must have rows of phones! Mine said that alot of them have been a little sick but have toughed it out. Mine threw up once and said it was the first time he ever had to ever clean up his own mess. Boy, I got a kick out of that one especially since he is going to A-school for Hospital Corpsman! Lorraine, our kids have met and realize they live just down the road from each other at home! Said they are one of the smaller divisions...maybe getting alot of "unwanted" attention from the RDC's! We are taking a 2 week trip to Mexico...we planned it so I wouldn't be sitting around moping so I am relieved the call came today! Glad to hear they realize the RDC's do care. Guess the next phone call will be around May 3 or so? That may be around their battlestations date so we have another few weeks to get thru! Good luck to everyone's child. Keep prayers going up! Lorraine, good luck on your surgery...sure it will go well... you have a daughter to write!
I got mail today ! Six letters : ) Less than a month left now until PIR !
I got letters today as well!! About 7. Very cool and PIR is getting closer and closer!!!
I got mail today! 2 envelopes, each with about 12 pages of letters! YAY!
