Hi Everyone,

Well I just book my flight to Chicago.  I live in Texas.  Any suggestions for hotels that are close by that I can use the shuttle to get to graduation and back and that is not limited to graduation so my sailor can get back later on.

Thanks

Joyce

Thank you for the information.

Joyce
my daughter and I will be staying at the Ramada as well! I don't know if you are planning on flying or driving Flashlites, but through Expedia.com I got a great deal on flight + hotel!
Hi Dest W, I have already made my reservations for the Country Inn. I am worried that we do not have a Meet & Greet posted by now. There are ones for May 14 & 21 and they seem to be organized by someone staying at the Ramada. Do you or does anyone reading this know what the procedure for this is? Thanks
Hi, we are staying at the Ramada also. what is the get together the night before graduation? What time is graduation on 5/7. I am so excited to see my son and the graduation. We are flying in from Connecticut. I haven't received a phone call from my son since the friday before Easter. anyone gotten any calls. what are they doing this week?
We got a phone call on Sunday. My son said that the book work is complete and now they are starting on the hands on part.

Thanks for the hotel informations.
Yes, I believe that is the hotel that the meet and greet it at. What exactly is that? Just for the families? I only get a letter a week also. hope to get a call soon. I live about 45 minutes from Groton sub base. It is not too far from Mystic or the Casinos. I have never been there, but I know my son went there for some training with the recruiters in Conn. I am sure he will like the area. I think my son is going to Mississippi, but not sure. He entered as administration, but said at one point he could try out for other jobs if there was an opening, but have not heard.
Hi all, I just wanted to answer some of your questions on the Ramada Meet and Greet. The hotel puts it on for the whole family. Kids are allowed in until 10 pm. The put out food and if your staying there you get two drink tickets per person. They are a great group of people that put this together for us. When I went back in March I couldn't believe all they did. You don't have to be staying at the hotel to go.
