Hi. My son Kevin (age 23) arrived on April 7th as well. I haven't called the Recruiter... figured we'll get the info on his Ship/Division next week. I'm out of Westminster Colorado, which is just NW of Denver. You?
I'm from FL. nice ta meet ya
Likewise! I grew up in Miami but have lived in Colo for nearly 30 years. Thought I'd get the box today... but nothing. So perhaps tomorrow. I read another post about videos of boot camp... will have to check those out. I do wonder what he's doing throughout the day. Funny... I turn the corner as I drive home & there is his car... parked in front of our home. For a second, I think... 'oh, Kevin's home'... then its noooo..... he's not. I need to work on a letter so I'll have it ready when I do get his address.
My daughter arrived at BC on Wednesday, April 7th. I don't know what ship or division yet. I've e-mailed her recruiter to find out, but he hasn't responded yet. I think I'll call on Friday if I haven't gotten "the box" yet! I miss her so much I don't know what to do with myself. She's 23 and hasn't been living at home for years, but I used to talk to her every day.
My son James arrive at GL on the 7th of April and I got the 30 second call that he was there at 5pm Alaska time. I have not gotten a box, a PIR date, address to write to yet -- waiting.

I haven't received the infamous box yet either. I figure that it will get here sometime in the middle of the week. My husband's recruiter was able to give me his address the 8th. I already sent out 3 letters out to him today. I MISS HIM SOO MUCH! It's harder than what I thought it would be....During the day I occupy myself with work and other mindless things, but it gets so lonely in our bedroom at night- it's unbearable!

I just hope we ALL get news from our loved ones SOON!
My son Chris age 22 also arrived on the 7th from Memphis. I also don't know which ship/div yet. I'm calling the recruiter in the morning.
Ship 14 Div 200, Thanks for letting me know to call the recruiter. I feel so much better just knowing which ship/div.
your welcome :-) I was at work today when I guess Fed-ex stopped by and left a slip saying that they would be back tomorrow to drop off a package... I wonder if it's his box.
My son arrived in Great Lakes on April 7th also! He is 21 years old and has been in the delayed entry program for what seems like forever now! I got his box yesterday. I'm waiting for the form letter to find out what ship and division, etc. I can't wait to know when graduation is! So many plans to be made! We are from Dallas, Texas.
I didn't think about calling his recruiter... maybe because the recruiter never managed to meet us in all these months. He scheduled 3 visits to our house, but didn't keep any of his appointments. I hope this is not typical! :-)
I still haven't heard from my daughter's recruiter. How rude! lol. I found out yesterday that my darling daughter sent her box to her boyfriend. Gak! Can you strangle kids telepathically. I know there's probably a perfectly logical explanation as to why she would do this, but, geez louis, the kid's gotta get a clue sometimes. I hope she sends me the form letter with her address. Since Iove her boyfriend, too, I'm in close contact, so he promised he'd send me the address as soon as he gets it.
I am so sorry Tallmama... your daughter probably had a hard time figuring out who to send them to! I know I would! Fed-ex tried delivering the box yesterday when I wasn't home so they came around today again. I miss my beau so much, it was a bittersweet moment opening up the box, especially since it is his birthday today :-(.

I cannot wait for his form letter to arrive so that I know when to make my plane ticket reservation. Anyone know when that should be?
