WOW!!! I really hope the men are not being set back. This is so sad and cruel. I cannot believe it. I received a letter today but it was dated back in march. I haven't heard anything about it from Dan. Oh please, make this be a scare tactic! Those poor guys :(
Dear All, I called the Public Affairs office and this is what I found out. The lady that I spoke with said that It is a Scare Tactic. She has been getting calls all morning and theycalled the RDC"s directly to see what was going on and they told her that tehy told teh recruits that to put the Fear in them. They will all be graduating ont the 23, as long as all pass BS. I hope we can all rest easy now!!! Susan
Thank you, Susan! That does put my mind and heart at ease!
Thank you so much for calling!! :) I'm so relieved! See you all on the 23rd!!
Susan, I also called Public Affairs this morning and was told the same thing. So, now we all can continue with our plans! Yea!!! Barbara (Adam's mom).
my husband also called them. He said they told him that they hadn't been told anything about 166 not graduating. He told her that his wife had joined a website, and she said let me guess, Navy for moms and he said yes. She said that she had been getting calls all day and that this site was the worst for getting misinformation. He has been trying to convince me that this was some kind of bad joke or something, but I told him that we are all moms, wives, girlfriends and such and that we were all concerned but trying to get the correct info and that until I hear it from Cody, I will not truly believe that we won't be able to see him graduate next week. I am trying to stay positive.

I was a little mad at my "unfeeling" husband that he would say that I worry too much! I just really wanted a hug and some reassurance that all would be OK. He is such a BOY when it comes to this kind of stuff, LOL. We will be married 22 years tomorrow, he hasn't changed much. I think it was just his way of trying to calm me down so I wouldn't worry, but all it did was make me mad AND worried, LOL. I am still praying that we will all meet and see our loved ones graduate next Friday. Thanks for the ones who called and checked.
Sabrina
don't feel alone honey, when i tried to talk to my husband he said"why are you crying, it will be fine...you did'nt get a phone call did you?" it makes me so mad i could just spit nails!!!! lets try to keep are chins up and go have a great dinner tomorrow with your husband. congrats!!!!! me and my husband will be married 21 yrs in june.
Sabrina, we just all have to hang in there together. As for the unfeeling husbands, I tell my husband of 33 years that he wouldn't know an emotion if it bit him in the butt!!! Anyway, something serious definately happened and we probably won't know the entire story/truth until we hear it form our sons and daughters. I know other moms who also received a letter about the not graduating fiasco, but I'm going to trust that the person in Public Affairs was being truthful with me and knew what he was talking about. Regardless, it's out of our hands and we just have to wait to see what happens. I'm still planning to be there next Friday with my green scarf on and cheer for our division as loudly as I can! I can't imagine what they must be going through right now, morale must be pretty low, especially with Battle Stations scheduled for Sunday. We have to keep them in our prayers until we can get there and keep them in our arms. Take care everyone. Barbara (Adam's mom).
Division 166 is graduating as planned. They will be doing Battlestations on Monday night, and will call home Tuesday afternoon. I talked to my husband this morning, and got the real story on everything. I won't go into detail on here, because the RDCs are reading everything we write and I don't want to get my husband into more trouble. So, if you want the scoop just message me, but rest assured they are graduating as long as they pass Battlestations.
hey heartingasailor, just wondering whats going on with 166? please !
great they will be doing Battle Stations on Monday night and we will get the call from our daughter on Tuesday and then we fly up there on Wednesday morning, I can't wait to see her!! before we know it we will be seeing our sailors!! will everyone here be at the meet-n-greet Thursday? can't wait to meet Div 166 family and the ladies with green scarves.......
AMEN!!!! I 'm like you Francine...I can't wait to hear matts voice and to be able to hug him on friday!
