Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Hello Traci My son is Ship 4 Div 192 nice to meet someone else. We are also driving up on Thursday and my leave on Monday no sure plans yet. I want to spend as much time with my son as I can. We are making this our vacation too. We gave up the cruise to go to his graduation. It is a 14 hr. drive for us. Still no letter from him yet.

t-wifey - you're welcome! I'm doing a sight seeing package, an indoor package (museums, planetariums, galleries), and I WAS going to also do a theme park package but I don't want to risk him getting his uniform dirty so we'll see on that one.
Brand mom - I think the drive will definitely be worth it to have our own car and set our own schedules. That way we do have as much time with the boys as possible! You should probably be getting a letter soon. They write on Sundays and I personally get my letter on Thursday or Friday. Chin up!! You'll hear from him! -

YEAH!!!! I finally got a letter or paragraph I should say last thursday and this thursday I got the phone call. He sounded so great and loves it. I feel so much better. Thank you!!! Now time to get that room reserv. About that Holiday Inn Express what is the number?

Holiday Inn Express - Waukegan, Il 847-473-4400 I called the actual hotel and told them I was coming for the Naval graduation and asked if they could do better than the rate posted on the internet. I was able to book for $84.00/per night. Double room. We are Holiday Inn Express fans. Try to stay at one where ever we go.

I booked at the Holiday Inn Express. My husband is all about breakfast and they offer a full breakfast. Called them and got a cheaper rate than what is posted on the internet. They do have a shuttle to PIR.
