If you have a recruit in this division please let me know. I know that all of us who have someone graduating on 06/11 have to stick together. But it is so nice to know the family and friends of the men my husband is spending all of his time with. Also, I thought we could send letter or cards to each others recruits to add a little variety to their letters. Please let me know what you think!

I know my husband would be so thankful to know that I am getting so much support from his classmate's families. I look forward to talking to everyone on here and learing more. I can not wait until the meet and greet to be able to put a name with a face.

Good luck Navy Ship 11 Div 212!!!

joshwife, you already know me, so I'm on board (no pun intended). I'm so curious to find some more girls and guys with family member on ship 11 div 212.
Hi. My son is also ship 11 div 212.
My name is Anne and my son Andrew is in Ship 11 Division 212. He left on April 14th. Just received his form letter last Wednesday. Stated that he is doing okay but has trouble waking up so early in the morning. He is from the Bay Area and of course with the time difference, its even worse since its 2 hours earlier. I hope he adjusts and quickly.
It's so nice to meet you ladies! I am not sure why, but I feel so much better knowing that my husband is surrounded by supported men. I think they will work better as a team and harder as recruits if they are supported from home. Have any of you gotten a letter besides the form letter? Are all of you going to PIR? I am very excited for the meet and greet and meet all of you. Let's keep eachother updated!
Its nice to meet you too joshswife. I am glad you started this group. I have not received any letter from my son but I am hoping to get one at least next week. Have you received from your husband? Has he called you yet? I cant wait to hear his voice when he calls. You are right they definitely will work better as a team and harder as recruits when they are supported from home. Yes, we are going to PIR. I look forward to the meet and greet and meet all ours sailors families especially the moms. I will write with any update. Stay safe.
My son is there with your husband! I am so excited to find someone else who in in the same state of waiting that we are! We miss him so much and look forward to hearing from him in a week or so...trying to be patient! I can only imagine how much you must miss your husband!
I'm glad to hear from all of you! I still have not received a letter or a phone call. I am looking forward to getting something from him soon. I did however, receive my DEER information and in there he sent a posted note with a short note. Even the 2 lines was good to see. He told me that he loves me and misses the kids. I feel so lucky to have a man who would put his life on hold to do what he thinks is best for our family and country. I loved my husband before, but I am more in love with him now than I have ever been. As a wife it's hard to go through this, I couldn't imagine what it would be like as a mother. I know you have to be so proud of your sons. Please let me know when any of you get a letter and I will do the same. You ladies have a Happy Sunday.
Anne- I'm sure your son will do great! I hear they go to bed pretty early so let's hope that will help.
My husband got to call us just a few minutes ago! I was so excited to hear from him.The phone call was only about 5 minutes, but it was the best 5 minutes I've had in the last 2 weeks. Speaking of 2 weeks, do you ladies realize we have 2 weeks down? Did anyone else get a phone call?
Hi girls - my son is in this division too. I haven't received a letter or phone call yet but I'm excited Joshswife that you were able to speak to your husband. It's hard enough not hearing from your child I couldn't imagine not hearing from your husband for this long. It is hard to believe that it's been two weeks. I personally think it has flown by. I'm kind of hoping the rest of the time flies too - I can't wait to see him in June.
Kelly I'm with you, the first two weeks have flown by for me too. I have tried to keep my self very busy and I have spent a lot of time on this site. Both of which have helped me get through the roughest times. My daughter walked up to me yesterday and looked at the computer and said "Oh, you're on that Navy site again". I don't want my kids to see me worry so I come on here and write and it makes my fears ease up a bit. Kelly I'm praying you get a call or letter soon!
Joshswife, I am so happy for you that you got to speak to your husband. I am sure you feel blessed because you are in many ways. Thank God that the moment came today and you were able to talk to him and tell him how much you love him. I was hoping my Andrew would be able to call today but he didn't. But you know, I am not worried because I know in time, he will call me. My older son has taught me that worrying does not help any one of us, most of the time it will get us sick. I leave it in Gods hands and all I can do is pray for him. I have not received any letter from him either, and yes, that's driving me crazy. BUT, I am trusting that I will receive from him this week. Thank God you will sleep much better tonight. Best wishes for a very good week. A
Anne, I'm sure that you will get something soon and yes you are right worrying does not help anything. While I was on the phone with him yesterday I mentioned this group and knowing other families of recruits he's with. He asked me to send their names so he can know who were talking about. He was very greatful that I have you ladies in this time of need. He thought it was neat that we can share our stories and bond at the same time they are. We are all blessed with good men in our lives!
