If you have a recruit in this division please let me know. I know that all of us who have someone graduating on 06/11 have to stick together. But it is so nice to know the family and friends of the men my husband is spending all of his time with. Also, I thought we could send letter or cards to each others recruits to add a little variety to their letters. Please let me know what you think!

I know my husband would be so thankful to know that I am getting so much support from his classmate's families. I look forward to talking to everyone on here and learing more. I can not wait until the meet and greet to be able to put a name with a face.

Good luck Navy Ship 11 Div 212!!!

Hello ladies, I have not heard anything yet but I keep trusting that everything is fine and will hear any day now. I am so happy for those who have heard from their loved ones. That strengthens me.
I also remember my Andrew saying that we will hear from him in three weeks. Today is the mark---3 weeks. I hope we all hear from them this week--even better-- receive a call on mother's day. Hang in there and stay safe. A
Destinye, I actually had the mailman hand me the mail. Noooooooooooo, letters, I am fit to be tied, but Iguess it's better than having a lizard greet me. If that would happen in PA there would be a problem. Well I guess it's back to hoping for Friday mail call. Everyone ask me have you heard anything, and that just adds to the fire.Irealize they just want to heard how he is). I think that when I finally do hear something I might throw the door open and shout to the world, I got Something from Kyle. This is so weird we have been so close and now it is like he fell off the face of the earth. I'm really not a whinner, but this is my impatience getting the best of me. Kyle must get that from me, (hope that doesn't get him in trouble) and he is quit the neat freak (that can be a good thing in bootcamp), I just worry if they have not received mail they get down in the dumps (we are told to send letters of encouragement). They don't receive it till the 3 week.
Kelly I'm glad you will be at the Ramada, it is going to be neat to place the face with the posters on here. I just hope and pray that my son isn't a grad n go, we are bringing his girlfriend along and staying till late Sunday. Hate to complain and run but I have to start dinner and get ready for work.
Brenda - same thing with us. I asked if he knew if he was going to be a grad n go and he said he didn't. I also asked the recruiter and he said Kel would know before he would so....we booked our trip through Sunday hoping he'll be with us all weekend too.
Hello Everyone:
I have a son in this div. graduates 6/11, as the rest of you I have received his box (so sad), and a few lines in the PIR letter...so sweet! Have not heard from him either, he said 3 weeks. So yes I too am hoping for Mother's Day! His name is Nathan, my youngest son, hard to see him grow up and go, but proud of him. I have a sister very close to Great Lakes, so we will be staying with her. Well, hang in there all and on this National Day of Prayer... Let's keep our Recruits and their leaders in OUR PRAYERS. Glad to have this group. Maria
Welcome Maria, Another mom in our shoes, hope to meet you also at PIR. Kyle is my youngest son, and it is hard to see them go but from what I understand when we see them again they will have really grown, into wonderful young men. Prayer in numbers is a powerful thing. Thanks for the well wishes.
Welcome Maria, glad you joined us! We have a great goup of people here and we are all very close.
I hope this doesn't come out the wrong way, but it does make me feel a little better knowing I'm not the only one who hasn't gotten a letter. I only say that because then I know that Josh is fine and maybe they just took longer to collect our div mail. So, again please do not take that the wrong way, I want us all to get mail and very soon. Today has been very hard for me I almost feel like i'm back at day 1, but I know tomorrow will be better. I will be praying fot all of us and our recruits tonight.
Brenda~ I sure hope they have atleast gotten out letters. Because if not te mailroom for our div is going to dislike me because Josh will have atleast 20 letters waiting. Have a great night!
Would all you girls take a minute to go to PIR Group 6/11 and view my Mother's Day Message for you!
Thank you girls.
Thank you Brenda - that made me cry. Truthfully only a mother understands. I wanted to recommend a book that was given to me by a Navy sister whose son is in his second year of naval service. It's called Honor, Courage, Commitment - Navy Boot Camp by J.F. Leahy. He follows Div 005 as they arrive at the airport from MEPS clear through graduation. He interviews a group of them all along the way as well as their commanders. I can't tell you how interesting and insightful it has been. It has answered so many of my questions and brought up new topics for my letters to my son and questions to ask him. I believe she bought the book for me from Amazon.
Thank you Brenda! I sent that to all of the mom's I know. I know my mom and mother in law will really like it, they both have son's in bootcamp.
Kelly~ I'm going to check on that book today.
All of you ladies have a great day!
Kelly , the book is ordered and on its way from Amazon. I didn't get a thing again today, no mail or phone call. I guess I'll look to Saturday. I should receive the book 1 month to PIR.Thanks for the great tip I know I'll enjoy this read.
I read the book. My husband got it for me for Christmas. It helped me to know what to expect. Get it in a hurry!!! Wonderful read.
hello all! I am so very glad I found this site, I just wish I could have found it earlier! My one and only son is in ship 11 div 212 and I am missing him very much! He will be 20 next month. A lot of the posts on various disscusions have brought me to tears.
