If you have a recruit in this division please let me know. I know that all of us who have someone graduating on 06/11 have to stick together. But it is so nice to know the family and friends of the men my husband is spending all of his time with. Also, I thought we could send letter or cards to each others recruits to add a little variety to their letters. Please let me know what you think!

I know my husband would be so thankful to know that I am getting so much support from his classmate's families. I look forward to talking to everyone on here and learing more. I can not wait until the meet and greet to be able to put a name with a face.

Good luck Navy Ship 11 Div 212!!!

wow, I am so glad that you are all getting calls, it must be a relief! I can't wait to get a call, I hope Ty is doing what is expected of him. I just think the worst sometimes. Like well, I haven't gotten a call, so its probably Ty that's messing up. I so hope that's not the case and he's bustin' his butt.
Sorry Toni that you didn't get a call but i'll pray for tommorow. I asked my son did he do anything to get the phone call and he said no, they said it was just a scheduled phone call. Don't think that Tynan did anything wrong. Kyle did say that they mailed letters on Sunday so for sure we all should get mail this week. Also it seems like scheduled called stat coming around 3:00 pm till around 5:00 maybe they only let so many go in groups. I know how you are feeling, when other moms posted they got calls I was happy for them but could help feeling envious and a little self pitty for myself. It will happen soon I promise you. When it does make sure you have a list of questions ready that you want to know about!! Try to have a good night.
thanks for the prayers, it was answered!
My son called today too. He said the same thing about the division messing up. He says he loves PT but is not crazy about boot camp in general. He had his wisdom teeth pulled & was still sore from that but otherwise ok.
Prayers are answered!!! and what a rush!! Tynan just called!!! He's doing good and gave me so much info so fast, I hope I remember it all. He said he did get in trouble for talking but only once. He advanced to an E2,passed his PSA, he's a 3rd class swimmer. He had a root canal and some filling. today he was on LLD because the tenden in his knee was acting up but it won't set him back. he said he likes it. also said there are a lot of guys that are there for nukes, i think he said 30 or so, he said "they're frickin smart, ma!"

said he went to church yesterday and cried, when i asked what made him cry he said, 'cuz that's your thing ma, you go to church'

Its kindof funny, when he was growing up in our small town, everyone, knew everyone and i always found out what he was doing, good or bad. i wonder what went through his head when i said "i heard your group is getting into trouble for talking and can't march" his response was "how did you know?". it was kind of funny.

he also said they would know before they call next time, when they will call. i guess its gonna be on a schedule going forward. i hope everyone gets a call!! it so reassuring. thank you all for listening to me ramble and thank god for answered prayers.
Hey All! WOOOOO HOOOOOO! I got a call this afternooon right before I was ready to go out the door for the evening, so that was great!! I saw the caller ID with the 847 prefix and 'pay phone' below it and knew instantly who it was!! I was SOOO happy to hear my son's voice! He sounded a it shaky, kind of like holding back some emotion, but I expected that for the first call. He reported what everyone else did and I think the IT (intense PT) they had to do for almost 2 hours about did them in! He said when he got up today to put his 'blouse' -button up shirt of the NDU-on it was still damp from the intense training yesterday. ugh! I bet that smelled good too-NOT! He told me he is the weapons PO and has to get up every two hours for that, so I am guessing he is a big sleep deprived over that. I asked if he knew some guys names, but he said only last names. He did say that the guy that is the other weapons PO had his wisdom teeth out last week and is from Georgia, so he hasn't had any help since he has been on medical leave or whatever they call it. Also, his bunkmate had his wisdom teeth out last week too. He has be-friended the guys in bunks next to him who are from Texas on one side and I can't remember the other, but they are smalltown/country boys like him, so that helps him alot! I was so relieved to hear from him and of course forgot all I wanted to ask. When I heard his voice I just decided to be as reassuring and supportive and upbeat as I could be-mostly to keep me from crying! He said he loved my letter and has gotten all of our letters, so I sure hope we get some on Wednesday this week!

He said the days go slowly-I think he meant like non-ending, but that the weeks are flying by. I told him he is halfway through, so that is good. He failed his first PT test and didn't get the pay upgrade, but I am sure he will do better next time. So, hang in there everyone! Now we can make it since we will start hearing from them! Can you believe it is almost a month since they have been gone??!!

One question-does anyone know when they will start getting paid? I know it is 1st and 15th of the month, but when does that start???

Thanks for being there! GO NAVY!
i think they get paid this week, i read somewhere it would be week 3.
Thank you for the information! I appreciate it very much!
i did check ty's bank account and there wasn't a dep. he's having part of his pay direct deposit to his home bank. i'll let ya know if i see a deposit come through
I wonder if my son is your son's bunk mate? He had his wisdom teeth out, he's small town and very country. Let me send you a friend request and we can chat!
Hey, Kelly. These guys having the wisdom teeth out and the boys from Texas. Sounds like they are close by each other. Did yours mention any last names or where they were from?
Josh told me that we should get his 1st military check on the 15th, but it wouldn't be much because his uniforms charge will be coming out. So his first full check would be on the first of June. But remember that if they buy anything there it would come out of their checks.
