If you have a recruit in this division please let me know. I know that all of us who have someone graduating on 06/11 have to stick together. But it is so nice to know the family and friends of the men my husband is spending all of his time with. Also, I thought we could send letter or cards to each others recruits to add a little variety to their letters. Please let me know what you think!

I know my husband would be so thankful to know that I am getting so much support from his classmate's families. I look forward to talking to everyone on here and learing more. I can not wait until the meet and greet to be able to put a name with a face.

Good luck Navy Ship 11 Div 212!!!

thanks for the info destyne
Do we have any ideas on how we would like to decorate our table? Maybe a theme? Since we're driving I was going to buy all of the things here in Fort Worth and bring them up with me. Let me know what yall are thinking.
You know it's funny because I alway here people say Texans say yall. I always tell my mom, why do people say that we don't say yall. Ha, then half the time I makes posts and they say yall in them. I never realized it until now.
Destinye I have the funniest story for you. Years ago I worked for a Texan - he use to give me letters to type and one day he used the word y'alls in his letter. I was very use to the word y'all but I didn't realize there was a plural form of the word until then!
Hey Destinye, I don't even think twice about yall, if you are from down south it is just expected. People from the north, east and west all have little speech things we can pick out too. About decorating, are you sure that we will have a table, it looks like a lot of families are planning on coming and the bar/restaurant aren't that big. Maybe call and find out it would be o.k. What ever they say, just let us know, I would hate for us to go through all that and it would be a mingle around type of thing. I also did call the Ramada to let them know we would be attending the mng and the girl told me she did not need to know, I said alright. Also I have to give you a big HOO-RAH, for driving from Tx to GL with three children. I wonder if we will get mail today? It is damp and raining in the Little town of Bethlehem PA and that would be a great pick me up. I also hope the division starts to pull together because I think that is how they decide how long the phone calls home get to be. I think this is the week that there Navy Pics get taken. I really can't wait to see the men and women in there whites on grad day. I watch some of the Navy Pirs on You Tube and they give me the chills and the drummers (it is almost like watching the movie "Drum Line"), how awesome. You really get emotional, watching someone elses recruit graduate I guess I better bring a huge box of kleenex along! Enough of my rambling I have got to go lay down and take a nap. Check back later.!
I got letters, I got letters, I got letters hey hey hey hey! I got 8 letters from Josh today and everyone sounds better than the last. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. I read them out loud to kohen and the older kids are going to be so happy to read them when they get home from school. I can't wait to hear who all got mail today. The postman put them right in my hands with a HUGE smile on his face. I think he's just glad I won't be chasing him down any more.
Brenda~ I saw on this site somewhere can't remember where that said to start an event because they will need an RSVP. Huh, glad you called though cause now we know. I will call and ask about the table thing. Even if it's not a big table maybe we can all bring pictures and decorate a little. I will call tonight and let you ladies know. And yes I think you're right pictures are this week.In almost every letter I tried to remind Josh to get package A, no matter what the cost is.This only happens once.
Ladies~ So in my letters Josh mentioned that our division need to work together better. As mother, girlfriends and wife's I think we should remind them that the better they work together the more privleges they will get. But I have a feeling all of our men are doing great together. My husband mentioned a guy he became close friends with, but I'mnot sure if the name he gave me was the first or last. Does the name Dawson ring a bell to anyone, it's his new bunkmate.
He said they have all of their uniforms and had to do an hour and a half extra PT for getting in trouble on Sunday. He said they didn't pass their last inspection and that they need to learn to march better. I didn't realize marching could be so hard, lol! He said they ot 2 almost 3 compartment hits in almost 24 hours. I'm not sure what that means. Do any of you know? He also said while doing PT he wanted to quit, but his friends (he made in there) said he could do it and he finished. If that doesn't sound like team work, I don't know what is.
I'm so excited to finally hear something from him and know that he is getting better. Let me know when you guys get your letters!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got two letters from my son Alex today. My husband & I read them together. It made us feel great. Alex was so funny in his letter I guess he is doing ok. He says that because some people are 'messing around' that the rest of them are 'getting beat up'. He also says that he skipped church to write, but that most people go to the church to pick up chicks. He says they call it E-Harmony. Glad he hasnt lost his sense of humor.
Destinye, the compartment is there area (barracks). Also when your husband said he wanted to quit PT and his friends said he could do it, that is and indication that the Division is starting to realize they are all in this together.Kyle told me he missed his 1st rack inspection by one point (wake up call). I have faith that these guys are going to start to gel, especially if they don't want to be the screw up division. Scholastically they are good but they need to be able to march to a beat also, and that will start to click for them. I got that book that kelly told us about and that is were I got the compartment answer! It is a good read. Well got to go, hope you have a good day!
Kelly~ So did you actually use it in the letter?
ha ha - no I had to remind him that I was going to substitute another word for that. The best part is that the letter was going to a Japanese customer - they probably would never get a handle on "y'all". Thanks for sharing Josh's letters. Hopefully we'll all have some today!
No letter from Kyle today, but I'm not upset I know they are on there way. Destinye I'm glad you got your mail at least whatever you didn't get answers to onthe phone you know now. I was just checking in with everyone. Kelly, what nice pictures of your family. I would love to put some on of Kyle when he was captain of football but I can't figure how to take of disc and put on the site. Maybe it is better I can't because Kyle hates how big he looks in the pictures. Well good night all, I'm of to work.
Hello Brenda, I received a call from my son Nathan, he called Monday at 4 pm. told him odd hour to call it was 3 pm Chicago time. Anyway I did not care I think I was floating for the rest of the day, slept very good that night... Nathan told me Kyle is his bunk mate, told me about football & that he was a "big" guy, Nate is tall and thin, soccer player. He sounded good, talked about IPT. said it was hard but OK got through it. He had his wisdom tooth taken out the 1st week, and about all the shots they got. WOW. he sounded good. Just waiting for letter. His sister lives in Chicago, she got a letter from him last night (of course they are very close in distance so mail gets there much quicker). We live in Florida so it is snail-mail. OK now I am rambling... to make matters worse, our internet is out. I am at McDonald's with his laptop. LOL. Good night to all. God Bless you all and May God keep all our boys SAFE and SOUND. Maria
Maria, I'm so glad to connect to someone who has a recruit so close to my son. We spoke to kyle at 4:00 Monday also, maybe they send bunkmates for calls at same time. Kyle said he had a great bunkmate named Nathan (really the only first name he used). Will you be attending graduation? He just can't wait to see his girlfriend so I told him to stay strong and healthy to keep going toward that PIR date. Sorry I'm replying late but I work nights so I usually check this site as soon as I get home. He only had 5 minutes to talk on phone so he really tried to get in as much as he could, wait till I tell him I'm am talking with Nathan's mom on line!Kyle will go to A-school in Pensacola Fla, were is Nathan going? Hope you don't mind me asking all these questions, I'm sure Kyle nows alot about Nathan and vise versa. Kyle said he is just trying to do whatever they want him to do or not do, so he doesn't get yelled at much. He just wishes the division were better at marching and didn't get into so much trouble. Well I am rambling now, so I will check back later. Maria you are so right, may God keep all our recruits safe and healthy.
