If you have a recruit in this division please let me know. I know that all of us who have someone graduating on 06/11 have to stick together. But it is so nice to know the family and friends of the men my husband is spending all of his time with. Also, I thought we could send letter or cards to each others recruits to add a little variety to their letters. Please let me know what you think!

I know my husband would be so thankful to know that I am getting so much support from his classmate's families. I look forward to talking to everyone on here and learing more. I can not wait until the meet and greet to be able to put a name with a face.

Good luck Navy Ship 11 Div 212!!!

Brenda: I GOT LETTERS TODAY!!! Wow Nate sounds so grown up. he said Kyle reminds him of his brother Dave, sounded conforting. he sounds and writes so grown up. Yes he misses his girl... wish he did not, and that he would kindda forget her??? he is very disapointed he has not gotten any letters from her... gave her his addres as soon as we got it.. oh well. I am so excited he is good. Prayers to all of them specially the "bunk mates" good night ... maria
i wanted to tell you ladies what i got yesterday. its so cool. im not a jewelry wearer but had to have this bracelet. i got it at hallmark/trends. its a heart and the front and back are glass and its like a locket and opens. then you buy charms to put in it.i got the navy seal, tys birthstone, a cross,a 'june' boy, a heart us flag, praying hands, and a clover. im gonna wear it everyday!
I got letters on Wednesday! I was so happy to get them!! I got two letters. My son sounded good and he commented on the unit just as everyone has. He said that it is not hard, you just have to listen and some people are just not doing well with that! When they had the IT on Sunday, he told me the next morning he had to put his 'blouse' (button up shirt) back on and it was still damp from the day before. He sounded a bit homesick, but I think he is getting better about that. He also told me he wanted to quit on the IT, but he got through. He is the weapons PO and has to get up every two hours when the watch changes to check out the guns, so I think he is probably a bit sleep deprived. I had asked in my letter to him if he had overslept at all and he said that was impossible to do! LOL

I think we all feel so much better just knowing they are okay and working hard. And I think the unit will gel and start to do much better. Those IT sessions should be pretty convincing to get the group working together!

Toni-thanks for the info on the braclet that sounds cool! Destinye-please let me know about decorations-I am willing to bring something and it will be easy for me to do since I live here in Illinois!

Have a great day 'y'all' :-)
I got 2 more letters today from April so they must have just taken a little longer than the others. And a few of his friends called and said they got letters also. It's good to know he's writing, I think it may help him feel closer to us at home. He gave mt 2 names of friends hes close with. One last name starts with a G and he said he misses his dog and is from Colorado and the other starts with a D and he's from Ca and misses his girlfriend. Do either ring a bell???
I think it's my son from Colorado that he's friends with. I send you a private message. Oh my, that just brought me to tears for some reason.
When I talked to him the other day I asked him what he wanted me to send him pictures of and he said Remington - his dog. It broke my heart the day he left for boot camp when I watched him say goodbye to the old guy.
I got 2 letter from Kyle today. (OOH-RAH!!!) He sounded very determined in getting to 6/11/10. He said that after IT the other night that he thinks the morale is going to get better or there is going to be a lot of physicaly fit recruits form div 212. He also misses everyone alot but knew this was going to happen but he still made the right decision, it will pay off in the long run.(sometimes I think there is a little old man trying to come out of him) While reading the letters I laughed several times, that is what I miss, he could always amuse you. I am happy he sounds so upbeat and I'll end this how he did! Go Navy!!!!
Brenda - I'm so excited for you that you got some letters! I can't wait to get home to see if I have some too. I really hope this division starts to get things in gear. I'm sure they are all getting a little tired of all the PT they're doing...although maybe it's getting easier for them. I'm so glad that he's still feeling good about the decision he made. I know when we get tired and frustrated we begin to question what we just did. Sounds like he has a great attitude. I miss the laughing too. I'll run across stupid things that Kelly and I would think was hysterical and I miss not being able to share the laugh with him. The other night his little brother who is 17 months walked up to his sweatshirt hanging on the hall tree and hugged it. I don't know if he really knew it was his or not but it was very sweet and sad at the same time. I worry that he will lose his memories of his brother. I'm not sure what the memory span of a toddler is. Anybody know?
Kelly is your 17 month old coming to graduation? What happens if you show him pictures of your son Kelly, does he say his name or smile and get excited. I think they remember especially close family members. I got teary eyed when I read your son missed his dog. Our dog is like another son to me, he even goes on vacation or up to the Pocono Mtns with us. I am glad our oldest son will be staying home with Kobe while we are at PIR,(he just got a full time job and has no time off yet). I can tell you I will still worry about him, I know how Kelly is feeling. I just took a corny picture of Kobe for Kyle. He has a sign that reads "I'm Proud of You!" in his paws and I put Kyle's Navy hat on him. It came out so good. Well girls at least we know they are writing and we should get mail quit often now. Lets all pray they stay healthy and strong the next couple of weeks. I got to go to work now but I will check back in the a.m. "y'all sleep well"! (That was for Destinye!!
We decided not to bring him. I haven't told Kelly yet and I'm not sure how he'll really feel about it. I want to fully enjoy every moment of graduation and give 100% of my attention to what's going on. Mark is way too active at this stage for something like this I'm afraid. I made sure that I took a picture of Kelly and Mark the day he left and it's on my phone so Mark sees it quite a bit. Also, in my upstaires hallway I have all the boys school pictures hanging in a line. When Mark and I walk down the hallway we stop at each one and say "there's Kelly and Scott". I know with the age difference he'll basically grow up an only child (no - not an excuse to have another ha ha) I'm just sorry we have this separation at such an early age. I didn't think about hanging a sign on the dog - good idea. I posted a picture of the dog with Mark and his cousin Ella on my page - you'll have to see him - he's pretty gray.
I think that would have been my decision to (i remember how active my boys were at that age) and I would really want to take all of the graduation in. See as long as you show him pictures of Kelly and ask him who it is he will remember. My friends son had to go to Iraq (Army) and his little girl was 6 months old and he was gone for 9 months. He had to get to know Isabella all over when he came back and now you would never know that he was away, she knows her daddy. We saw the picture of Remington, how sweet but that's a Lab for you. Kobe loves little kids but he almost knocks them over with his big old tail. Kobe is 10 years old and starting to show when he goes to get up and down from hardwood floors. I also posted some pictures and that one we did of Kobe. Kelly have a great day, it's my weekend off and I've got to get somethings done today!!

For all the moms and wives on here the Navy deposited a check today in Kyle's account just thought I would give you all a heads up!
Ladies, We have found a match!!!!!!!!!! Ding Ding Ding!!! Kelly's son Kelly is the friend my husband has been talking about. I think God that he is a good guy and nice enough to help Josh.
