I just did after I wrote you before and his mom said she has not gotten anything. So I don't know if I should be worried or just relax and wait. =/
I received mine Thursday so maybe tomorrow or ask his recruiter for the address they should have it on there computer.
I didn't receive the letter until Wednesday (a week after he left). I had broken down and called the recruiter for an address before then. I guess all incoming mail is held for 2 weeks and then they get it all at once. I'm not sure if the 2 weeks starts with processing week or week one of bootcamp.
I'm alternately excited about his experience and weepy. Today at work I met 2 parents who have done this in the past and they were so positive and upbeat. That really made the day easier.
Hugs to all moms, wives, gf, and recruits! MJ
Maybe. His mom told me she would let me know when she got information, so I will just wait. I don't even know his recruiter's name and I don't like bugging them for something that I will recieve.
Hey Joana...I feel the same way. I even looked up the recruiting office's number today. My boyfriend left on the 6th. He sent me the box, but he sent the letter to his mom. We just got it today. I hope you got yours today too.
Mysailor_myhero.. His mom called me today with the address.. It made me soooo happy! He told his mom to telll me what he wrote for me and he reminded me that he loves me.. So yeah I am a happy camper.. =] This is such a weird but exciting experience.. I'm just happy he is alive..
My Bf is on the same ship...He arrived May 5th...Im New to all this too...I Hope your sons and husbands ect are doing well along side my bf...
I got my 1st real letter from his today!!!! So hopefully you will get yours soon! I am on cloud 9 right now...I hope the same happens to you
I'm jealous I haven't received anything yet from my hubby, hopefully tomorrow lets wait and see. I can't wait to hear his voice and tell him the good news that his a Daddy now. We will be having our 1st baby.
Congratulations! I'm sure you'll hear from him soon...I haven't received a phone call but a letter. I'm sure you're giving the best news to him :) Take care and best wishes.
Thank you mommajo. I received his 1st letter yesterday, I was so excited to read it. I hope they have a chance to call us this weekend.
I'd love a phone call this weekend...but not letting myself get to hopeful. Kind of waiting for the phone call to book my plane tickets...don't know about the grad-n-go status and things like that. I will want to spend as much time with him as possible but don't want to just be in Great Lakes. Do you know where your hubby goes from GL? Have a great day.
