For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

hello moms, our daughter left out of jacksonville on may 25, we are still waiting to hear from her. I am praying that she is doing fine. Her recruiting officer said no news is good news . we are already excited about her bootcamp graduation that will be hopefully in mid july but we dont have a date yet.

My son left on the 11th but just finally arrived at RTC yesterday. I do not know his div yet. but can't wait to find out and get his address so we can start sending letters.

I just looked on the web site and found out that my sons division is graduating on July 1st, he is Div.234. Does anyone know any reasonable hotels that have small kitchens in the rooms not to far away from the base? Is there a good airline ? I am so excited!

We stayed at Residence Inn at Waukegan. Did the 1 bd with pull out sofa. Had the kitchen. About 3 miles away. Most of the hotels have shuttles ($3.00) if you don't want to drive to base. As far as I know, all the hotels offer a Navy graduation rate.

My son graduates july first also, ive already booked my hotel but it doesnt have kitchen,so fellow worried,anxious,navy mom,our sons graduate together, i also cant wait!!!!!!

Its free. You will get a password in the form letter. Only your recruit knows it, and you just print it on your computer, fill it out and take it with you. Anyway, have a wonderful time at PIR. I just found out my son is in Div 934 and will graduate the following week. Bye Bye

My son Arrived at GL on the evening of 05/12/10. I recieved the "box " today but have heard nothing else. How did you find out his Div. already? I guess the easiest way to get through this is to stay busy and take one day at a time. He is the youngest of 4 and this is a lot harder than I anticipated. .

My son also arrived on the evening of May 12. I have yet to recieve the "box" or any other information. He is my youngest son as well. Hopefully our boys may be together. You are right take it one day at a time and remember this is what they chose to do and we are proud moms to have sons that made such a wonderful decision to serve our country.

Hello! I am sure it will come soon, there are 9 div.'s graduating so if he is in the same ship/div. Maybe they have a lot of boxes to ship out. I would love to find someone who has a son/dd in the same group, We could get through the next 7 wks. together and maybe meet up at the PIR. Let me know when you find out.

I saw that someone on this site wrote that no news is good news and that they are safe, that has helped me a lot to know that it is hard to get through, but it is good for them and they are safe. We will get through this together.I am new at this, my son is the oldest of five and it is so hard to see my first kiddo go out on his own! I have the whole nervousness of will he make it alright, etc. out in this world, but they all grow up someday! Well, keep me updated.
