If you have a recruit in this division please let me know. I know that all of us who have someone graduating on 06/11 have to stick together. But it is so nice to know the family and friends of the men my husband is spending all of his time with. Also, I thought we could send letter or cards to each others recruits to add a little variety to their letters. Please let me know what you think!

I know my husband would be so thankful to know that I am getting so much support from his classmate's families. I look forward to talking to everyone on here and learing more. I can not wait until the meet and greet to be able to put a name with a face.

Good luck Navy Ship 11 Div 212!!!

Hey girls,

I know we are all so busy but I was wondering has anyone heard from Kelly? It has been a while since she posted and I hope everything is o.k.. She usually has some tidbits of info that are interesting and usually helpful too! Well got to run and get something done this a.m., boss switched me to 3-11 shift today. Not my favorite but, oh well! Talk to you later, Bren
Hello Abbe,
Welcome to Navy4Moms! We are happy you are here-you will find lots of information and support on this site as we are all in this together, just like our recruits are! It is good to see the information from all different people so you can piece together what is going on at boot camp. Hang in there! You will get something soon, I am sure. And remember-No news is good news! This last week was "Hell week" and they were faced with multiple inspections and tests, so your son may not have had a chance to write to you. He will or you will hear from him. Both of my phone calls have been at odd times that I would not have expected. Just remember-the area code is 847 and on your land line caller ID it will come up as "pay phone" for the name-pick it up when you see that!

Are you going to the PIR on 6/11? Where do you live? If you are coming and haven't made a reservation for a hotel yet, I strongly suggest you get that done this week! Rooms are going fast!

Keep the faith, send prayers and keep writing to your recruit. Mail is very important to them! Have a great Monday and write on the blog anytime-it helps!
Thanks. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and I've reserved lodging. I keep hearing about the meet and greet so definitely on my list. I'm excited and nervous about the whole next few weeks.
Hi girls - I'm still here! Work has just really been busy recently and I haven't had the chance to jump on here and contribute. I got a letter from Kelly on Wednesday and he said he's doing really well. He said the division is still having trouble overall but he has been doing good. He's anxious for it all to be over with and is counting the days. He also sent a letter to my mom and was really upbeat in that letter too. He said he has been homesick but it hasn't been as bad as he thought it would be. He said probably because he's just too tired at the end of the day to be sad. I did let him know in my last letter finally that I wasn't bringing his youngest brother Mark with us. I'm hoping that doesn't disappoint him too much. I think he'll understand though. Welcome aboard Abbe - glad you're going to be able to come to the meet and greet. My grandma use to live in Burlingame and I loved to visit her there - San Francisco is such a beautiful area. I would love to contribute $$ to the meet and greet. Someone just let me know who to send it to and I'll be more than willing. Thanks for missing me Brenda - hopefully this week will be a little more low key!
Welcome Abbe! Glad you could join us!
hi all, hope all is well with all of you. typing one handed and writing is getting very tiresome on the good hand, and takes forever!!!

i wanted to let you all know that i contacted the photographer regarding ordering the pics and video and div 212 has not had their pics done yet, i thought is was at the end of last week, but not so. he's supposed to get back to me after the pic with prices and such, will let you know what i find out.

also found out that Cindy's son Travis and my son Ty seem to be hitting it off. he also said he knew of josh, destyne's husband but didn't seem to know him that well.

regarding phone calls, he called around 10pm est each time he called, he called fri and sounded pretty upbeat, also seemed to have more time to talk than last time. added he 'accidentally put the fake bullet in backwards during the test they had, and said he wouldn't do that again. i was surprised at that since it wasn't the first time he handled a gun, maybe he was nervous :) also each time he calls it is 847 area code, but it says NAC NTC GREAT L for the name on caller id.

i made lables for my grandmother with his address so she wouldn't have to write it all out and he wants me to send him some to save time when he addresses his letters, i sent self address stamped envelopes for him to use but know that not everyone is doing that. thought i would share with you the idea too.

between here, facebook and just talking to people i forget who i tell what, but wanted to share something we did, i got a whole bunch of us together and took a group photo with signs 'we r proud of u', 'we love you', 'miss you' and the navy flag. we look it under our towns sign for events. i developed them and sent some to him. just thought a visual with all the letters saying it would be nice.

ok ive gone on enough for now hee hee. i wait so long then have lots to say ;) bless you all, ladies and all of your loved ones that are working very hard in bc.
Hi All!
Sounds like things are going well for most of our recruits at this point. I hope they get through their week this week and then it is only 2 weeks left-Hoo Yah!!

Has anyone heard from Destinye?? Hello, Destinye!! Are you still with us???!!!! I hope you are okay-drop us a note so we know you are doing okay!!!

Just want to say hello and keep saying those prayers for our recruits! Kelly-thanks for the information and Toni, you too!
Its interesting that this division is having trouble still. I wonder what the problem is? Nathan has not mentioned it. Well, hopefully they will continue to improve. When I get on this site I can just feel my excitement building as the time is getting closer! Its amazing all of the emotions we have all experienced over the past several weeks. I really can't believe we are down to just over 2 weeks!
In a letter I received from my son, George, about two weeks ago, there seemed to be many 'troublemakers' which made it hard for the division on a whole. Not sure where things are going for them at this point but hopefully they are getting through the tough times and concentrating on what's really important. I'm super excited about the next couple of weeks too. If I didn't have patience before I'm certainly relearning it now ... : )
HELLO LADIES!!!!! I have not been able to log on for what seems like weeks. I started a new part time job so for a day or two I was pooped and then my internet went down. OMG I felt like I was lost with out yall. I am so glad to be able to get back on. I am gong to try to get on tomorrow and read all the post from the last few days. But I just feel better already knowing that I can get on and talk to yall.
And I forgot to mention that both my kids classes made "Thank You and Good Luck" cards for all 78 of our guys. I got white envelopes for all of them and I'm mailing them in one big envelope to Josh so he can hand them out. When My kids brough them home yesterday I wanted to get on line so bad so I could write you guys and tell you. As I looked at each of them I was crying like a baby. I could not believe that these kindergarteners and second graders took the time to do this for the guys. I just felt so lucky to be able to send these to our men. I hope they will love them as much as I did I am going to take pictures of them and upload them so you guys can see them. Man I missed you guys so much!!!!!
Here are a few pictures, I can't wait to hear what you think!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
