OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Where did you get the Div #? My son left 5/20 also, but I only have the kid box that was delivered today.
My son arrived at GL on 5/19, I've only gotten the box so far...got it today. I think you can get the division from the recruiter. Since I got the box now, and don't have the form letter yet, I think I might call the recruiter tomorrow to see if he can tell me.
Oh, I see. I left a message for our recruiter today too! Great minds think alike. I hope to hear something tomorrow. Good luck!
JLC did you get your letter yet? Still waiting for mine, although I have mailed out 3 already, thanks to his recruiter!
I called the recruiter, they are the only one that can give it to you. He actually gave me his address, so I sent 2 letters immediately!
I received my letter. My son is on Ship 13 div 245 and his PIR date is July 23rd. Can't wait to meet some of you.
My son Andrew left on May 20th also, he is in Ship 13, div 245, I finally got a letter from him today. It didnt say much except he got his wisdom teeth pulled.
my boyfriend is in division 245! he left may 20th also!
oh yeah I am so happy got a letter yesterday anda phone call today. My son is loving it. He's up to the challenge and in good spirit. Attending church on a regular, got dental work done. Wow will I recognize him! LOL
I got a phone call today too! Congratulations! My boyfriend also had dental work done, got his wisdom teeth out. He said the instructors are really tough, but he's doing good. He said he actually likes the food haha!
Hi, I should have been on here a month ago but, here I am. My son Scott is in Div 245. He also left May 20th. I've only gotten one phone call so far and it's July 9th. Has anyone gotten more than one phone call. I received a 2nd letter today.
My other son Will (Scott's brother) graduated exactly a year ago to the day Scott will on July 23rd. So, I have some experience with this already, but Will was able to write and call a whole lot more.
